Eddie Bauer?? Middle car seat?

Good morning ladies!! What are your thoughts on Eddie Bauer Quad Trek? Seen a great looking set that was light weight in comparison to some others.. Reviews look good... And can't complain if it looks nice too!

Anyone out there with experience with this brand? And or opinions?

Oh! And middle car seat positions... Hear it's the safest.. Thoughts?

    I can't speak for the brand really.

    As for safest position - check your cars manual, that will tell you the best and safest position for a car seat in your specific model of vehicle.

    Some cars have a split backseat, which can make the middle position unsafe.

    For what it's worth, we started DD out in the middle and it didn't work well for us. It was hard to lift her infant carrier into the middle, and a few times in the beginning when we were newbs we would get to our destination and realize the thing hadn't clicked in the whole way which was scary. She also screamed in the middle, and did better when she could see out the window on the sides. Lastly, we only had latch on the side seats and it was much easier to get her seat in there super tight with latch than the belt. We moved her to the spot behind the driver's seat, because we were told you instinctively protect your own side of the car best in an accident situation.

    When picking seats, we went with the most narrow base possible. We got the Chicco NextFit, the Chicco infant seat, and we have tested to make sure they can fit in our car with the Diono Radian at the same time... just in case. We don't necessarily want to have three kids wedged in a second row, but I also don't want to get a surprise down the road and then have to buy a new car when we weren't expecting it.

    We have DD in the middle, and always have in both of our cars. It depends on your car as to whether it is the most secure or not, but in most cases since it gives extra room between the door of the car, and the child in case of a side-impact collision.
