How are you feeling? Feeling ok! Some body aches and stuff from being in bed, but otherwise pretty decent today.
Appointments/Updates? I have some blood work today to see how my liver/platelets are doing. That's about it right now. I had an u/s and NST within the past week and both were good.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Lots of stuf this week, I ordered a bunch online. We have the carseat and stroller, crib and I bought lots of clothes.
Rants/Raves: I miss the outdoors
QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall? The food, the smells (mmm pumpkin candles), the beautiful leaves, the weather. All of it, really.
Week/Fruit: 23 weeks/ Grapefruit ( I agree with the fruit comparisons they are a bit off and misleading.
How are you feeling?: Tired, and sore and tender from over aggressive U/S tech yesterday. I've had at least 12 ultrasounds in the past and never have I had a technician that was so rough. She was trying to get a view of baby girls profile, and she stuck the wand on her head pressed down and giggled the wand about 10 times, on 4 or 5 separate occasions to encourage her to move. When I realized it was all for a picture for us, I said " I don't need a profile picture, I'll take one of her feet, hands or legs, they are amazing". My husband and our son were shocked and freaked out, especially since I was wincing and saying ouch. My belly is a little discolored, hoping it doesn't bruise. And now I'm a little concerned especially since baby being diagnose with an SUA, I've been slightly more protective, and the fact that the jabbing/stabbing was on her head. I hope technician was right in that she said " Oh she's well protected in there". and she didn't cause any harm to baby. - End rant-
Appointments/Updates?: Had the 2nd a/s scan to check baby's heart yesterday. Doctor and technician said that her heart, arteries, and blood flow, kidneys ect all look wonderful. Still awaiting results from free cell DNA test. Next appointment is a couple weeks away, October 8th, at that appointment I schedule 3rd scan to check on her growth. Also the lovely glucose test ( I was hoping it has improved in 9 years, but sadly it still looks as gross as ever).
Have you bought/Received anything for the baby recently?: MIL and niece in law bought a 3mo outfit for her. I had a few onsies and sleepers that weren't used by my 2 year old niece. We ordered the car seat yesterday, other than that we are completely unprepared. I put myself on a hold from purchasing much until after the shower ( which is next month).
Rants/Raves?: Rant: See above ( How are you feeling?) Rave: Baby's heart and functions look great, this was great news. Also at both scans both dr. and tech said how active my little one is, which I knew because she seems to never sleep and I could tell ( we can see and feel the bony parts and identify what she is doing) she pushes her feet like walking on my uterus/stomach, and she moves her hand across it as well. During the scan we could see her doing these things and we laughed. My son says she "karate" kicks me from inside... Side rant: Tech called her "fresh" because she wouldn't turn to let us get a profile. My husband responded "That makes sense", and looked at our son jokingly. And technician replied, "Must take after her daddy".. The look on his face... I found it funny.
QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall?: Ugh there are so many, the whole season really, and the Holiday season.. Husbands bday is September, mine is as well ( this Saturday). Our 13 year anniversary is 10/28. We as a family love Halloween, Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Spending time with my family on Christmas, 2nd Thanksgiving at our house. And soon to be January when our little one will be arriving!

I was on bed rest with my son, (and hated it) due to my hips, I have a shallow acentublum and next to no cartilage in my hip joints, which causes them to dislocate very often. I am due to start physical therapy next week to help with pain and strengthen my muscles, tendons ect. I'm hoping to not be put on bed rest early during this pregnancy, but its inevitable that at some point in the next 2 months I will be bed ridden
. Hope you and baby are doing well.
How are you feeling? Feeling ok. Having a harder time falling and staying asleep, which is starting to take its toll on me considering I'm up at 5:30 am.
Appointments/Updates? Next appointment is 10/07. Current update, feeling this little man move around so much - has to be the coolest feeling ever!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I just caved and purchased two little onesies from Old Navy (couldn't say no to the sale) and a navy blue nightstand for the nursery from Target. MIL purchased the most adorable swim bloomers and matching hat from PB over the weekend. I think it's my current favorite thing we've received so far.
Rants/Raves: Rant: I'm getting super excited for my little man's nursery. We haven't done anything with that room since we moved into our house 2 1/2 years ago, so it's going to be so nice to be able to fix it up for him! You can read more about my nursery inspiration on my blog.
QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall? I love every single thing about fall. Boots, sweaters, candles, chili, decor, the weather, seasonal beer, hanging-out outside, and football. Love. It. All.

First off, HAI EVERYBODY!! I have been so busy at work and lazy in the evenings that I haven't been on here nearly enough lately.
Week/Fruit: 25/Cauliflower (totally not a fruit)
The crib and everything gets delivered tomorrow and I'm super stoked.
How are you feeling? Pretty good overall. Having some hip and back pain lately and more trouble sleeping, but I imagine that is to be expected.
Appointments/Updates? I just had my follow-up ultrasound on Monday to re-check Gavin's kidneys and heart and everything is perfect now! I have to schedule my glucose test here soon and I go in on 9/24 for a hospital tour that my husband managed to get off work for!!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? Since the last time I posted about this my mom bought the dresser, crib and mattress for Gavin and we've painted his nursery so I guess we bought paint for him
Rants/Raves: I got a card in the mail yesterday from the daycare that we've decided to sign Gavin up for. It was absolutely the sweetest card ever and totally reaffirmed my feelings that this was the right daycare for us. It was hand written and everything!
QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall? Leaves changing colors and the weather getting cooler. Also camp fires and s'mores

Appointments/Updates? Had a regular checkup yesterday and we did the 1 hour glucose test (due to high amniotic fluid at last u/s), and it was high, so I need to do the 3 hour test in 2 weeks. Boo!
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? No....but I researched strollers online over the past weekend, and found one I really like. So I hope to go "test" it out Saturday at BRU to make sure I like it in person
Rants/Raves: if we make it to BRU on Saturday, I'll probably start my registry...so I am excited about that. As for rant, it's more of a plea for T & P's that my next u/s is good next Tuesday and that my 3 hour test comes back normal
QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall? I'm not a big fan. I'm a summer girl. But I do like Halloween
How are you feeling? Back aches at the end of the day but otherwise pretty good.
Appointments/Updates? Tomorrow I have the 1 hr glucose and my monthly check up. Already had my first Cervix check and all okay there.
Have you bought/received anything for the baby recently? I got a box from Baby Store today. I think it is a shower gift. Going to wait to open these until I get back from baby shower out of State.

QOTW: What is your favorite thing about fall? I live in Miami so the fall is not much of a fall but it is not like 96 degrees anymore and down to 88-90. ha! I do love Halloween. I miss the cool crisp air up north. Can't wait to wear a Pumpkins Preggo shirt I bought for Halloween.
How are you feeling? Pregnancy wise I feel great, but due to insurance complications im having issues getting my insulin and pump supplies. (Type 1 diabetic) so the last few days my blood sugars have been either crazy high or crazy low and bouncing back and forth. Terrifies me about how my baby is reacting to it. If not better tomorrow I will be making a trip to the ER for help getting it stabilized.
Appts/updates: we found out last week that we are team blue! Naming out sweet little man Noah Allen.
Have you bought or recieved anything? I did buy a car seat cover a few days ago that I love & my cousin gave me 3 trash bags full.of newborn- 6 month clothes she bought and never used, as her baby turned out to be a girl.
Rants: nothing new just the problems with my Diabetes. Hoping it gets stabilized soon.
What's your favorite thing about fall: I love fall, I love the changing colors the cooler Temps and all the fun activities that we have here in Ohio.
How are you feeling? I feel perfectly normal except my bump is causing a lot of attention, apparently it's just too big! Nobody believes my due date is the end of January. My mind, however, is another story! A soft marker for downs was found, a shortened humerus, so now we're anxiously awaiting the results of the cell free fetal dna test which we should get back mon or tues. Those thoughts consume my mind completely and I am honestly scared to death.
Appts/Updates? Saw my ob yesterday and will go back for an echocardiogram US in a few weeks. Besides the soft marker, everything's normal so far!
Bought/received anything? I feel extremely behind, but no! My friend bought us a baby blanket but that's it! We're both procrastinators and want to wait on test results so we can get some piece of mind and get ready for this, whatever the future may hold.
Rants/raves: My friend is giving us a gender reveal party on the 27th!!! Can not wait! It's Mexican themed, so we're getting moes catered with sangria, margaritas and Mexican beer (for the lucky ones)
Love about fall? We don't really have a fall where I am, but my anniversary and bday are both in October so we try to go to the nc mountains for a little leaf-peepin'. Hopefully we can make the trip this year, too!!
