So today was my birthday, and my mom got me a snoogle. I'm lying cradled in it right now and I'm pretty certain that I am actually nestled in the hands of a giant angel made of light and cotton candy.
DH hates it. He thinks it will take up too much space in the bed (although I sleep with three pillows that, IMO, take up way more space) and that it will be too hard to cuddle.
The reality of the situation is that he will deal with whatever makes me the most comfortable, because he is a loving and supportive partner. He might tease or grumble, but it won't be a real issue.
I'm curious, however, how other husbands feel about snoogles and what you do to make sleeping as comfortable and snuggly as possible.
Re: Husbands and snoogles
We actually bought a bigger bed recently so that we can sleep farther apart, which is great because I stay awake hours later than him and now I don't have to be still the whole time. So much room for activities!!
My cat also uses the unused bottom part of my snoogle. She gets accidentally kicked a lot, poor thing.
Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!

Tonight will be my first night with my snoogle (sounds so intimate when I say it like that). So we had actually been on the fence about buying a king sized bed for a while and when our friends were talking about how much room the snoogle took up my husband became 100% sold on a king sized bed.
As a bonus my cat has also loved the larger bed (he is 20 lbs), and he always rests his little head on the pillow under my knees. I'm thinking he will enjoy the snoogle more than DH. I'll keep ya posted on how the night goes. Again, that sentence also sounds weird and intimate....

Also, anytime I talk about the Snoggle he makes me say the word in a weird high pitched voice (I have no idea why) and then he repeats it. Yeah...
By the way your description of the pillow made me legit lol

Happy Birthday @Whitfry !!!!!!
I don't have the snoogle. I have a body pillow that looks like a big horse shoe. I thought dh would hate it but it doesn't take up more room then i usually require when tossing and turning. This morning he was cuddling on the side i wasn't using. So win win.
I'm getting one at the end of the week (for $10, try not to be jealous), and I'm doubting it will take up too much room since we have a king sized bed. When we bought our house the king bed was our first big purchase because he likes to sleep in the middle of the bed and now there's still enough room for me on the edge where I usually curl up.
Also, I'm currently using like 5 small pillows to sleep comfortably, so I'm almost positive husband will just be thrilled to have some of those pillows back on his side of the bed. I'm also more afraid of him just falling in love with the snoogle while I'm gone one weekend and not wanting to give it back.
Happy Natal Day @whitfry!
"Serious is only something you have to be until you can be silly again."Last night was the first night in a week I've slept well, and woken with no body aches. I'm so happy I could cry. So the snoogle stays and I made DH admit that it doesn't take up more room than I usually do. We have a queen because a King would be too big for is to cuddle comfortably in, and space can be at a premium since I thrash and take up most of it. So I'm a pretty happy camper this morning.
However he doesn't think he'll fit on the bed as I get further along in this pregnancy since it's twins..so he's already planning on either sleeping in another room or bringing a twin bed in our room and sleeping on that. More room for me!
The SO has only recently become a snuggler, and it makes me want to hurt him. I need my space!
I have been super uncomfortable at night, so I hope this brings on the Sandman!

DH doesn't seem to mind though, only if I whack him with it when I roll over.

Woke up to DH and our 75 lbs bulldog cuddling the pillow...and I had a tiny corner of the bed. Fail.
But wishing you a very happy birthday and a sound snoogly sleep tonight!
