No, because it's a huge waste of money. We opt for delayed cord clamping.

@Kateghee, thanks for replying to every single post I've created and not answering a single of them. YOU are the only one I've called a cyberbully. Since your pattern has been to comment after everything I write why don't you answer this: Anyone here cord blood banking?  Why or why not?

For those that answered, thanks!  My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about delayed cord clamping and I have not heard of this before.  Is that something you set up ahead of time?

  • I decided to do delayed clamping, especially when I saw the cost of the banking.  I asked my doctor about clamping and she said to discuss it closer to EDD/at the time of delivery because there are some factors that could hinder your ability to do the delayed clamping.

  • No, monetary cost and because it has it's limitations in treatment (like msspeedymarie said). Plus, a representative with CBR won't stop calling me. She got my info when I signed up with the enfamil program and I've already told her no - twice but she keeps calling to follow-up and new updates. I typically don't put my phone number but I must have done so without thinking.
