Low PAPP-A

Hi. So start by saying that I have looked through Dr Goggle and yeah I'm worried but trying not to go to worst case. Apparently I am at an even higher risk for low placental growth and pre-eclampsia because my results came back with low PAPP-A hormone.

Aside from the typical eat right and try to exercise has anyone done anything to help ward off pre-eclampsia or promote placental growth? Trying to track down some natural remedies! Thanks!!

Re: Low PAPP-A

  • I'm sorry to hear you're in the same situation as me...everyday it's something new for me. I also have low PAPP-A which is why my sons risk of having Down syndrome was a lot higher than it should've been. But my harmony results came back that there's an extremely low chance for my son having any of the trisomys it tests for. But they said I still have low PAPP-A and there's not much you can do for it besides extra ultrasounds to monitor baby's growth, and watch for signs of pre-term labor. If I get any more info I will share of course, and if you get any more info let me know!!
Idk how accurate this is but one forum I read about low PAPP-A said something about eating extra protein for fetus growth or something like that. I keep it in the back of my mind, and try to get a serving of protein a day. So far my LO has been measuring 3-4 days ahead... But I'm feeling it's just my due date is off lol
    Good luck!!
