  I've noticed that there is not one announcement in the announcement thread, I'm pretty sure I've seen a few announcement posts

  The thing about the announcement thread is that it requires the person to also post a birth story. So, once I sit down and write it, I will not have a link to add to the thread. All I have is the link to my AW post.
