@ChristieH917 Happy birthday!! Glad you got your shot for free! When I read that the first thing that popped into my head was that scene from Bridesmaids when the roommate gets a mexican drinking worm tattoo and says the guy opened up the side of his van and said it's for free!
Random I know but I just watched the movie after my ET so it's fresh in my mind

Me: 33
DH: 39
TTC: 4 years.
Me: PCOS. Polyps.
DH: Low morphology and motility.
TTC naturally - 1yr.
4 IUI with metformin - All BFN.
Changed ER.
IVF # 1 - 6 blasts made it to freeze. Transferred 1 fresh blast. Low first beta, but rose appropriately. Bean made it and we heard Heartbeat!! Sadly Bean couldn't hold on. Heartbroken. M/C.
FET # 2 - 2 beautiful blasts transferred. 1st beta - 74. #'s rose appropriately. Ultrasound found Sac and fetal pole! Sadly bean couldn't hang on. M/C. Devastated.
One frosty left.
IVF#2 - ER Scheduled for November. We will be doing PGD. Transfer most likely JAN 2015.
I am impatiently waiting for my beta draw on Friday. I POAS the other day and it was negative and i've been hesitant to try again. I will most likely on Friday morning because I will be at work when I get my results and i need to be prepared.
Congrats on the good news ladies!
QOTD - I like both cooking and baking but if i had to pick it would be baking because I have a sweet tooth!
AFM, I had my ER this morning. They retrieved 18 eggs. I'm happy with that, but a little confused. On Monday they counted 24. Where did they go?
Do any of you have advise on having your DH giving you your PIO. He hates needles. I have been doing them but I don't think I can so this one since it goes in the back
Me: 34 DH:37
Married 2008. TTC since March 2009
March 2010 - HSG, Tubes Removed, only IVF as option
July 2014 - First visit back to RE, ready to dive into IVF.
Aug 2014 - Had final orientation and baseline ultrasound. Have PCOS, RE expecting large qty for ER, but concerned for OHSS
@CRMhoney big congrats on the doubling... so far, so good. I will keep everything crossed for Friday.
Let's hope this good luck sticks around
@brlee25 I did all my own shots up until PIO. I would have preferred to just do it myself, but the backside is a little tough. I had to do it myself once and it was okay, but wouldn't want to do that every day.DH was a wreck at first. He got so nervous to do it and was shaky and freaking out. Funny to think back. He got used to it and is much better now! I think it makes him feel like he is an important part of the process.
**warning**
Me (31), DH (33), one furbaby (7) - unexplained IF
hysteroscopy and polypectomy 2/14
IVF #1 3/2014 - cancelled (early ovulation)
IVF #1.2 ER 5/16/14: 23R 18F - freeze all (12) due to concern for late onset OHSS
FET #1 in June - delayed due to thin lining, 7/18 SET (7.5 mm lining) resulted in chemical pregnancy
FET #2 in Sept - 9/4 transferred 2 CCS tested embryos (6.5mm lining)
9/13 beta #1 - 400, 9/15 beta #2 - 950, U/S 9/22 one gestational/yolk sac - next up 9/29
@CRMhoney Yeah, it's the doubling you want to see. FX it continues doubling.
@brlee225 no advice on the actual injection but I get everything ready for my husband before hand. I have large circles on my behind drawn with a permanent marker so he will know where to stab me. Every night after I take a bath I freshen up my lines, I need to leave a note there for him one morning :-) You can make it fun!
I do mine by myself because DH is a delicate flower. At first, I needed a full-length mirror, but now I just stick that sucker right in. Can you have your RE draw a bulls-eye for you, at first? Knowing where the needle goes is half the battle.
I ice for about 5-10 minutes, inject, rub really hard for a few minutes, and then apply heat if possible. Like IFinTN said, be prepared for the possibility of blood when you withdraw the needle.
It seems really daunting at first, but honestly, it's not that bad. Once you're used to it, it's not even too difficult to pull the plunger back to check for blood.
Me: 34 / DH: 33
19-year history of endometriosis. Multiple surgeries and cyst removals. Forced directly into IVF due to blocked tubes and severe adhesions.
IVF w/ICSI and CCS #1 - Dec 2013 - Only 1 normal. Ended in CP
I start my progesterone today for FET #2 on Tuesday. The day before my transfer they will be thawing 6 embryos that have been frozen since 2011 and watching them all to see how they grow, then transferring the best one. They are each 1's, and 2's, so I'm really nervous about how they will grow.
QOTD - I love to bake celebration cakes for family and friends.
Man o'man! This is our time ladies!!! Check out all the PUPO and BPF!!! Awesome news!
Last night was round 2 for shots for me (2nd night of shots) and it did not go well, lol. First I spilled some meds (pulled plunger too hard and out) starting crying saying bye bye to $150... then I didn't push hard enough on the pen and had to poke myself again...and then that one was a bleeder! I've got 2 bruises already lol. BUT TONIGHT WILL BE A BETTER NIGHT GOSH DARN IT (because people like me )
Well, I'm so happy for all of you ladies with good news! I'm not so fortunate. The stick was a BFN this morning at 7dp5dt. Pretty sure this cycle is a bust. Whomp whomp.
Congrats to all of the BFP's! I definitely have my FX for the PUPO's, ER, and ET's. It's really tough to keep track of everyone, but I'm trying. Such great news! So happy to read about it all. Sending hugs to anyone having a tough time.
AFM- I got my fertility report from the nurse this afternoon. Right in the middle of my 5th period class! From the 21 eggs retrieved….12 fertilized! I am so happy about this since of the 6 that fertilized in IVF#1 only 3 made it to a two day transfer and then NONE stuck. So, you can imagine how excited I was when she told me that we are definitely doing a three day or five day transfer. Will know for sure tomorrow and then transfer on Friday or Sunday. FX for Sunday!
QOTD- I LOVE LOVE LOVE to bake. Funny though I haven't had the time or energy to bake much lately. Maybe when we have good news to celebrate I'll bake some cookies. I've been wanting to try out a recipe for petit fours!
