I thought I saw a thread for this already, but I couldn't find it. Anyone else already suffering from Braxton Hicks? I swear I could even time them at this point.
Maybe it is just more noticeable this time since I know what it is.
Would you be able to describe what Braxton Hicks feel like? FTM here and I've been getting what feels like cramps but my dr said as long as there is no bleeding it's fine but didn't go further into it. Do Braxton Hicks kind of feel like period cramps or different than that? Thanks!

When I get them, they don't hurt or feel like cramps, more like tightness. I'm sure they vary woman to woman though!

This is how they are for me too. No pain, but I can feel my uterus get tight and hard for a few seconds.
I've been getting them for a couple of weeks too. I definitely didn't notice them this early with my first, but it could also be that I just didn't identify them as early. Anyway, like pp said, they aren't painful, more like tightness in my lower abdomen.

I have been having them for a few weeks. I notice they are more frequent when I'm super busy (running up and down our stairs 10 times before we can leave the house b/c someone is always forgetting something) or if I have not been drinking enough water.
I mentioned them at my last appointment and doctor was concerned since DS was born at 35 weeks due to PROM. They are keeping a close eye on my cervix length for that reason.
@animalcrckr - what are they doing to keep an eye on things for you? My DS was born at 36w for the same reason, but I showed no indications of actually going into labor prior to that. When I got to the hospital, I was having one mild contraction every 10ish minutes and was only at 1 cm, so it's not like a check that week would have hinted at anything. I'm concerned because I know that second babies have a tendency to come earlier and faster.
OP, sorry, don't mean to hijack your post!

I have started to feel them every once in a while. Usually when I push myself too hard, or don't drink enough water. It is also one of the side effects of a uti. Best thing to do is take a break, put your feet up, and drink lots of water.
I think I felt them the other night at work when I was busy. I'm 20 weeks this week and it felt like tightening and some pressure in my uterus. No pain or cramping... But definitely a feeling I wasn't used to or familiar with.
I would describe mine as the same way the other ladies are, like a tightness or very full feeling. I described it to my doctor as my uterus feeling like it was going to pop for about 5 seconds then it fades away.
I totally could have sworn I felt a couple the other day. Mine always came on when I was extremely active and I was hustling around the house the other day. To me they feel like someone has put a super tight elastic around my belly- like a boa constrictor squeezing the life outta me. No pain, though, just extreme tightness.
That's what all this has been... Mine have been a lot longer though, like 10 minutes at a time and then goes away for 15 to 30 minutes before coming back. It does this for like six or so hours a day. I keep telling my SO it doesn't necessarily hurt, there's just a lot of pressure and some pulling or something, and extreme fullness. Perhaps Braxton Hicks is the culprit.
Re: ugh, Braxton Hicks already?
Thanks!
