Question for those who live in Washington DC

My DH is going to the business trip at the end of November there and I am considering to come along with the kids, but not sure. How is the weather there at the end of November? I don't want to spend tons of money on tickets and be stuck inside if there is a freezing rain. My kids are very delicate  they never expierience snow or cold temperatures :)  On the other hand I think they would enjoy museums and the zoo. What do you think?
