Hi! I'm Dixie. I'm 7w4d and had my first OB appt yesterday. We had a strong heartbeat and all is measuring right on time with an EDD of 4/29.
This is my second pregnancy. My daughter is 3.5 and has special needs due to an prenatal stroke. Due to her circumstances, my OB warned us that this pregnancy will be "intense" and that we will be having u/s every 3-4 weeks to measure the baby's head growth and brain development. I'm also high risk due to having Factor V Leiden mutation (homozygous) and MTHFR (heterozygous). I had 3 DVTs during my first pregnancy and I'm on blood thinners for the duration of this pregnancy.
I'm pretty much an open book. I'm really happy to join the April 2015 board.

When I switched to heparin last time it was 15,000 units 2x a day which is why I ended up induced as soon as I hit term. My OB didn't want me on that much heparin for an extended period of time. I'm hoping to avoid induction this time.
