Came out of lurker mode to share this article: an etiquette "expert" says it is in fact perfectly acceptable to have a baby shower for a 2nd or 3rd baby. I have to say I was surprised by her reasoning that every baby deserves to be celebrated and new and improved baby products may have come out since the last pregnancy. Klassy! She must not frequent this board.
Well, considering that she's from registryfinder.com and (I'm guessing) profits from traffic related to registries related to such things, I'm not shocked. Still though, ugh.
Re: Etiquette "Expert" approves of showers for 2nd+ babies
Eta: just went back to the article and right at the top it says she is from the registry.com website. Geesh. I should have just stayed in lurker mode.
Emily Post is turning in her grave thinking about all the bullshit her granddaughter spouts off as "etiquette."
