It's often described as light flutters or someone very gently running their fingers along the inside of your belly. As the baby gets larger you will feel definite kicks/jabs!

I thought I felt something the other night while laying in bed that felt like tickles ...but it was on the right side a little lower than my belly button and I thought that was too high at this point. So I don't know...FTM so I'm clueless too!
It feels like gas bubbles to me but more pronounced and usually in certain spots. You probably can't feel it from the outside yet if you haven't from the inside.
I feel it only from the inside. Some times it feels like tickles as others have described or other times more like pop rocks in my belly. Depends on the time of day. Right now I'm only feeling baby mid morning, late afternoon and late evening for a few minutes at a time.
I've felt mine about 2 inches from my belly button and it felt like twitching! Like when your eye twitches but in your belly. It was more noticeable if I lay flat on my back.
I've felt flutters like some here have described and I have felt jabs/nudges here and there. I was worried at one point that I wouldn't be able to tell if the baby was moving or if it was gas. But, I can definitely tell the difference between the two.
When I first felt it with my DD it didn't feel like anything people were describing to me. I think the best way to describe it is like some said, a muscle twitch in your belly.
I've been feeling flutters the past couple days, but when when I go to bed, I can feel baby kicking the hell out of my liver and stomach! That hurts usually, but the flutters are nice. They tickle sometimes, other times it feels like gas even though I know I don't have any.
I kept brushing the earliest moments as gas honestly. But it's not uncomfortable like gas can be just very faint. I felt this at about 14-15 weeks not often just random and then 16 weeks it was more frequent and now it happens all the time and it's just a more pronounced kind of gas bubble feeling.
To me, I'd agree that it's sorta like twitching but also like someone just softly leaned against the inside of your stomach. A subtle feeling, but definitely not one that feels explainable by anything else in my body. And for me, it's right under my belly button, so @magsame, that positioning could definitely be right!

I'm 17 w and I'm trying to feel my baby moving or kicking but I have no idea what does that feel like , can some one help me realize
Someone, I wish I could remember for the life of me who it was, posted in a thread when I first joined that it feels like a giant goldfish flopping and rolling (not her words exactly, but what I remember of them) in there. I felt like that was the most accurate description I had ever seen!
It's hard to tell initially, especially if you're a FTM, but you'll know once it's happened a few times. I don't get the whole bubbles and pops bit but it's going to feel different for everyone. When my little man moves, I feel like someone is pushing and slowly rolling a ball on the inside of my belly button. When he's more active, I feel like there's actually a fish flopping around! Once in a while I catch a good jab or that scratching feeling some people mention. Makes it hard to pinpoint that exact "ah-ha!" moment and I remember how upset it made me that I couldn't with my first pregnancy but once he really started moving a lot it helped me feel better about all of it and made up for all of my initial frustration.
If you drink orange juice or cold milk and lie on your back or left side then you'll start to notice something is suddenly different, though
Hope you get your definite kick or roll soon and you don't stress out about it too much! Keep us posted

Since about 12 week I had the goldfish feeling. The way I know it is the baby and not gas is because I am not a dummy and know where my uterus is. At the time that was really low below my jeans zipper, not in the stomach area... at 16/17 weeks the feeling became more distinct. DH felt the first outside kick yesterday which was amazing. Now it is light little jabs. This is my first pregnancy.
A few things can make it harder to feel. Visceral fat (belly fat) and having an anterior (front attached) placenta definitely makes it harder. Most people feel sooner with 2nd, 3rd, etc. pregnancies. A friend of mine didn't feel anything until 24 weeks and nothing on the outside for a while after that which is totally normal too.
I was asking my mom last night how I would know if it was the baby or not. I was excited bc I felt something like a poke or pinch. It wasn't something I had felt before and I quickly downed a glass of cold water and a Popsicle hoping for a repeat but got nothing. I'm almost 20 weeks so I'm anxious to start feeling something other than gas!!!

The bigger baby grows, the easier it will be to tell. And then you'll be like, "ohhh, so that was/wasn't the baby earlier."
