I have not thown up. At all?

Should I be worried? My symptoms are super mild. I'm now 8w4d. I just feel like if I don't feel sick, then something is wrong. But I can't get a doctors appt for a few more weeks.

Re: I have not thown up. At all?

  • I haven't either just constant nausea, count yourself lucky!

not everyone gets every pregnancy symptom. it is normal to feel fine and normal to feel sick. You will just have to wait until your first appointment to settle your fears. Just try not to stress over it and enjoy not throwing up everyday because I wish I didn't.

  • I would love to trade with you! The porcelain seat has become one with me. :((
  • I never got sick with my daughter and she's happy and healthy as can be.  I am not sick at all this pregnancy either.  It is normal.  Enjoy.

  • I'll gladly switch places with you for a day! I've thrown up 7 times today at work (including one especially embarrassing time in the hallway), after being sick all night. And that's on Zofran and Diclegis.

Not having morning sickness does not mean baby isn't healthy, so just be grateful you've been given a break! :)
  • Can we trade please? After being up all night feeling sick, I woke up about an hour ago ready to puke, so not even 5 hours of sleep. All I can say to myself is "2 more weeks and your out of First Trimester"

  • Only 75% of pregnant women get nausea so consider yourself lucky! I'm 9weeks3days pregnant w/twins & havent thrown up once. Just been tired. My mother didnt get sick with any of her 3 pregnancies so doubt anything is wrong with you or your baby!
  • I get slight ms with some rich foods , and feel nausea most days , but the first pregnancy I had nothing , I'm hoping it eases this time as I'm trying to work at my normal pace at the moment as I'm not ready to tell work , cos I know I will feel like they will start to replace me right away
  • I haven't thrown up either (knocking on wood). I mostly struggle with nausea and gas.
  • I'm 7w6d with twins today, and I've not thrown up once.  On several occasions, I have felt mildly nauseated, but mostly, just tired.

My mother gave birth to 5 children, and she didn't have MS with any of us.  It sounds like you're one of the lucky few.

  • Roughly 25% of women do not experience the vomiting of MS, from what my doctor tells me. I, also, have not thrown up. I haven't really felt queasy or anything. I understand what you mean about feeling like something is wrong. Don't worry, just consider yourself lucky if you are, in fact, MS free.

  • Me neither! I was a bit worried at first but the more i looked at this forum and talked to others im just going to consider myaelf lucky for now until i go to my first appt! I'm.9w5 days. I got to my first appt Friday so fingers crossed that everything goes well!
  • i've only really thrown up once (more just constant queasiness which didn't start lessening until about week 9).  But the one time I did was pretty epic.  Sometimes I wonder if the queasiness would have felt better if I could have just puked...

  • @MOtownMama‌, I think dry heaving is the worst. At least when I puke I feel some relief. Dry heaving is just evil.
And painful. And obnoxiously noisy, but that might just be me because I'm definitely one of those dry heavers who sounds like I got punched in the stomach when I do it. And I get little broken capillaries around my eyes from doing so and I look like I've been in a fight, so I guess it's kind of all relative.

  • More of the same. I'm 9 weeks and no morning sickness. Maybe nauseated a couple times, and definitely no vomiting. The whole thing has been a little weird after hearing about ms forever. It's nice, but I understand the worries. Had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago that looked great, won't have another appointment for another 2. It's a long wait, though statistically we should be okay.
  • Consider yourself lucky. This is the longest I have gone without puking since it began 3 weeks ago. I have made it almost 24 hours of not puking! WHOOOHOO!! My medication is WORKING! (for now)

  • I'm on my fourth pregnancy and never have been sick or nauseated with any of them. My 3 babies were all healthy and this one is looking good so far too. Don't worry I'm sure your baby is fine. Enjoy not puking!! And sorry to all you ladies that are experiencing the unpleasantness of morning sickness.
  • As PPs said, be thankful! However I understand where you're coming from...I was the same way my first pregnancy. PS - this was mentioned in precious threads too. If you use the search function you can usually find your question/answer somewhere already.

Be thankful you are not vomiting 10x a day and on medication and can barely function some days.

Sorry I feel stabby bc hyperemesis is ruling my life. I will vomit if I see something gross or swallow my own saliva

And I've been dealing with this for 6 weeks now. Daily. Awesome.

This. Yes. Ughhh I HATE dry heaving. :((

Oh yes, and the broken capillaries on my face. My co workers can tell when my morning has been rough. They'll look at me and be like "did you throw up before you came in?"

    Thanks for reminding me lol.

  • I haven't vomited but have a lot of nausea. I have an extremely strong gag reflex which is a blessing and curse. Sometimes I wish I would puke when it is really bad because I feel like I would experience some relief.
