  • How far along are you?
    37 weeks, 2 days

Where are you in your decision making process at this point?
Decision for a TOLAC is pretty much final.

How are you feeling about your VBAC?
I'm trying to stay optimistic but am a little worried that I will need to be induced this week and that could prevent me from having a successful VBAC.

Any new updates to share since our last check-in?
Up until last week, I was thinking that I'd choose RCS over an induced TOLAC.  After my BP scare last week though, my MW was very optimistic about an induction and explained the process, risks, etc.  I know I'm in good hands and am completely open to a medically necessary c-section, so I've decided that I will feel best if I at least try to labor this time, even if it ends in another surgery.

    Vbac still the plan :)

How are you feeling about your VBAC?

There is some nervousness (especially after my sister insisted on telling me how it didn't look like I handled my last labour very well), but I've got a really great support system this time and freedom to move around that I'm confident I'll be in a position to handle it better.

Having my GBS test today. Everything measuring good since last doc visit. Baby has definitely dropped, having a ton more pressure on my crotch.

I hope everyone else is doing good, and hanging in there. T&P's for a safe and rewarding vbac experience.

Vbac is still my choice pending god puts me into labor naturally...

f I don't go into labor by myself my scheduled csection is Oct 2 at 1030 my due date. Opting out of pitocin because it did nothing for me before and all the risks that go with it.

Pressure contractions backpain and I had a burst of energy all day yesterday... now I just slept all afternoon my body is playing tricks.

How are you feeling about your VBAC?  I've been reading some good books and they've been giving me/us some more ways to handle labour so good!

Any new updates to share since our last check-in? Nope.

  • How far along are you?  34 weeks today!

Where are you in your decision making process at this point?  Long decided for a VBAC.

How are you feeling about your VBAC?  I go back and forth.  This LO has been frank breech for a while, so assuming this kid gets its act together and goes vertex, I'd be feeling great!  In the meantime, I'm still doing Webster chiro and will be adding in some squats and lunges soon to try to prepare.  Also need to buy another exercise ball!

Any new updates to share since our last check-in?  I decided to officially switch OBs again.  At my initial OB appointment around 10 weeks, I told my OB I wanted to do a VBAC and he agreed.  At my 16 week appointment, while giving me the GBS test and a pap, he decided to broach the subject of a VBAC again and seemed to go back on what we had discussed.  Between my 16-20 week appointments, I met with another VBAC-supportive doc.  At 20 weeks, my original OB seemed to be back on board, we worked out sort of the general terms, and we both seemed happy.  At my 32 week appointment, he pulled the same bullshit again and went back on what we had discussed.  We agreed to 41 weeks before doing anything.  If a favorable cervix, then light induction.  If no favorable cervix, then c-section.  He went back to saying 40 weeks and a bunch of other shit and I was just over it.  Officially have my 34 week appointment with the doctor I met with around 18 weeks and will be transferring care to him altogether.

  • @trisharenee0316‌ I'm glad your new doctor is genuinely supportive! I would have made the decision to switch too.

Still holding strong to my VBAC plan

Feeling confident but nervous like a FTM. I will 'miss' my 40w appt if I make it that far bc I don't want to be pressured into a CS, he won't induce and doesn't want me going too far past edd

Consent forms for TOLAC signed. Unless something drastically changes, we are going for it.
How are you feeling about your VBAC?
Pretty good. A bit nervous but I think its more the fact that all of our family's schedules are crazy so we aren't sure who will be watching him for sure. We have options but it all depends on when exactly I go into labor.
Any new updates to share since our last check-in?
Well, first we thought we were going to be scheduling a RCS because he was breech and we weren't confident in trying a version. But then we got a surprise at my U/S on Thursday that he had flipped within the last couple days. So things got thrown in the air for decisions again but we have since come to terms with just not knowing for sure what will happen. (I had liked the idea of knowing when for sure so we could prepare DS1 better and know who was taking him, ect)
Covered all the risks and options for induction and such. Found out today that I am GBS+ but no biggie.

    VBAC but nervous

How are you feeling about your VBAC?
I am not feeling confident and I think that is because I haven't prepared myself.  I am finally moving into our new home this weekend and am going to take this last month to actually focus on my pregnancy instead of the house!  I hope my confidence goes up after I spend some time refreshing myself on birthing a baby.   I am still really nervous that there will be issues during labor and I will end up in another emergency section.  I just have to keep reminding myself that I was induced and my body wasn't allowed to do what it knows to do naturally.

Any new updates to share since our last check-in?
No.  I see the Dr. on Monday and am going to talk to her about how long she will let me go before having another section.  She won't induce - and I don't want to go through that again anyway.
