I'm the youngest, not married but with the father of my child. My parents are staying with me for 2 weeks and I haven't told them yet. To be honest I'm scared and I feel like they won't accept it. I want to tell them and now it feels like a weight piling on me. How can I do this?
Re: How to tell them..
I agree with PP - don't make it seem like you are confessing, but sharing in your excitement! I was scared to death of what my family would say, as they are not very fond of my fiance (we have been together 9 years)...I made little magnets that said "Grandbaby #2 due April 2015" and "Great Grandbaby due April 2015" and had them open them at the same time on Grandparents Day. They took it VERY well. I actually think my mom is more excited than I am - (she is already baby shopping/browsing, talking about baby showers and making plans to babysit, etc).
I told them I was kind of scared about their reactions - and they were like WHY??? It's a baby - nothing is more exciting than a new baby!!
Good Luck

I think showing them the ultrasound is a great idea. I did the magnets and after all the hugs and questions of how far along, when was I due, etc...I showed them the ultrasounds!!! I think it is harder to deny and be made once you see the little blob.
