Baby wearing

edited September 2014 in August 2014 Moms
I've tried the ergo, k'tan, moby, Bjorn, pikkolo. ... Never found one I loved.

I bought the beco gemini and I LOVE it. Easy to use, comfortable, 4 carry positions, can use from 7 lbs up, no bulky infant insert, can strap on without help, LO seems to like it!

Anyone else find a carrier they love?

Re: Baby wearing

  • I love my ring sling and woven wrap currently. I haven't tried anything else yet and likely wont until he gets bigger.

  • I just today tried my lilibaby carrier and so far I'm happy with it and LO did good. Loved that it's mesh and no need for infant insert so not as hot

  • I have the Moby and used it with my middle son a lot.

I've used it a few times with this baby, but I just ordered a Boba (I also checked out the Beco but decided to try the Boba instead).  I made a thread about this earlier this week, but didn't get much response.

Once I get it and use it I'll be reporting back.  I wanted something that would go on faster and that wouldn't have so much guesswork with how it goes on.  The Moby doesn't always fit the same, depending on how tight you have it, and how you pull it around your baby.  The fit always seem a tad different.

  • I had the moby with DS1 and liked it but hated getting it on. I just bought the ergo and so far am loving it! I even love the newborn insert (but it's been cold here. It would've been too hot in the summer)

  • I have the moby and love it at home, but I would not use it out. I got an ergo for that, but I didn't get the newborn insert because I thought it would be too hot, but now it is cold here! Since fall came early I am thinking about getting the infant insert at target so I can start using the ergo when I shop.

  • I have a Moby I got for comfort around the house and an Ergo I plan on using once DS doesn't need the insert. I've been using the Moby out since he's too small for the Ergo, and it's worked well. I do have to out it on an wear it before we leave though. I can't imagine tying it outside a car or something. DS loves it and I love that it keeps him pretty hidden and sheltered. I plan on using it this week at an outdoor school function (I teach 1st grade and go back in 2 weeks) so I can keep everyone's hands off him.
  • I use a Sakura bloom linen ring sling and love it! Jack loves being snuggled in nice and tight too
