first time pregnancy light pink blood

Im 13 weeks 6 days today , my official first appointment isnt until the 17th . Yeaterday me and my fiance had intercourse and after I went to clean up I wiped and had a tiny pink spottinh I was scar3d so I have my pocket doppler and heard the baby heartbeat seemed normal. Anyone had same result.. ? I was just scared .

Absolutely normal to spot a little pink after intercourse. Though I know it's completely normal, when it happened to me, I panicked a little. But really, you're likely to be just fine and it may even happen again, for as long as it's not bright red and you're not cramping, you should be just fine.

I agree with pp poster.. while spotting after sex is nothing to panic about you should let your doctor know!

Well I havent gotten an official appointment due to no insurance but now I receivw insurance . Thanks girls it relieves me some. I have not gottwn it again . I will def let my doctor know on my appointment.

Better late than never re: first appointment! The 17th is pretty close. Good news on no more spotting, the time I got it, it was a little bit and once, but yeah, like I mentioned, I got worried too, and it's not even my first pregnancy!

Edit To Add: When I called my doc's office, the nurse said as long as the blood isn't bright red, pink or brown are both normal, though understandably alarming. She added that for as long as there was no cramping, they didn't feel like they'd need to see me, but gave me the option to come in - I didn't.

Thanks tasha that def reasures me . I been doing plenty of research .. but the most reassurring is the no more bleeding and since I hav a pocket doppler I am able to hear the babaies heart beat and know its still k. Im thinking it was a little too rough so part of lining scratched off.

Very common to spot after sex and sometimes even after a bowel movement. But you definitely did the right thing calling your doctor. Let THEM decide if it's a big deal or not.

I had the same thing at 11 weeks. My husband and I had intercourse and the morning after I had some spotting....VERY light and pink....it was only like one or 2 wipes. I freaked out too, but I was lucky. My stepmom is a very experienced sonographer and works with high risk and MFM's. she took me in that morning and scanned me just in case. But the doctors said the same thing. Probably from sex. They told us to take it easy for a week or so....

As my husband said after he heard that....just because one ride is "shit down", doesn't mean the amusement park is closed
