Re: ~*~*~PgAL Check-In~*~*~
Gestation in weeks/fruit: 14w3d / Lemon
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically ok, had a migraine last night though. Emotionally I'm still in this constant state of fear that something is going to go wrong. It's almost depressing; I won't let myself get too attached because the fear is too strong.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Cervical Length check (to see if I need cerclage) on 10/3
Vent/bitch/complain/excitement: I've had to deal with more than my fair share of stupid today, and my patience is gone. 100% gone.
GTKY -- Random fact for the day: The Mayflower left port in England today in 1620. That being said, what is your heritage? Is this something you follow & have looked into or are you going on family stories? My family is Irish and German for the most part, with a touch of Polish, Dutch, and Native American (Crow). I am very "into" my heritage and can trace our lineage back to King Edward.Thank for keeping the check-in going @jap618
Gestation in weeks/fruit: 14 weeks/apple
How are you feeling physically? I've been having odd pre-heartburn sensations and I get full really quickly when eating. I think these are signs of impending indigestion suffering. Also mild, day-long headaches. Emotionally? I've been feeling really isolated and lonely lately. I think my friends have been pulling away to give me "pregnancy space" but I don't like it. H works nights so I've been alone a lot.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: u/s and possible sex determination next Wednesday!
Vent/bitch/complain/excitement: One of my best friends is coming to town for a week on Sunday. I can't wait to see her!
GTKY -- Random fact for the day: The Mayflower left port in England today in 1620. That being said, what is your heritage? Is this something you follow & have looked into or are you going on family stories? I am half Native American (mostly BItterroot Salish) and half Irish, French and Italian. My resulting physical appearance is pale skin (for a half brown person) and dark hair and eyes. I grew on my tribe's Reservation so was always very much in touch with my Salish roots. The research lab in which I currently work focuses on Indigenous Research Methods so I learn a lot about historical and current events of local tribes. I have also gathered together my family tree and can trace both sides back several generations.Gestation in weeks/fruit:16 weeks 1 day
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? I feel like I've complained about it already, but I have the worst lower back pain. Today isn't as bad as yesterday though and I'm grateful for some relief. Emotionally I'm holding up more each week. I am feeling baby flutters which gives me so much comfort right now.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Anatomy scan is scheduled for two weeks from today. I am a little nervous because the NT scan results were inconclusive and hoping to hear we have a healthy baby in a few weeks.
Vent/bitch/complain/excitement: My only vent is that the temps are in the high 90's here. It is way too hot to sleep since we don't have AC which is made worse by the fact that I already wasn't sleeping very well.
GTKY -- Random fact for the day: The Mayflower left port in England today in 1620. That being said, what is your heritage? Is this something you follow & have looked into or are you going on family stories? I am Mexican American and definitely have traditions and holidays I celebrate passed on from my parents and family. Growing up, we used to go to Mexico once a year for a few weeks which I loved. I'm hoping to be able to go back, maybe in a few years once things are more peaceful. I speak Spanish fluently and am teaching DD to speak it as well.MC: 2/19/14
Gestation in weeks/fruit: Almost 15 weeks... I've got some lemon's in there
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally?: Physically I'm already feeling freakin' huge! I still get tired easy and random pain when I do too much or dare bend down to pick something up. Emotionally I'm good, I'm feeling one of the babies moving (baby a is more towards the back so I'm not too freaked out about not feeling baby a).
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Milestone - We are taking our 3 year old to Disney soon! We are so excited, I can't wait to see her face when we get there (I am not however looking forward to walking around all day...the things we do for our kids). I am counting down the days until October 17th when we have our anatomy scan.
Vent/bitch/complain/excitement: DISNEY!!! (Anybody have some advice about being pregnant at Disney I'd love to hear it)
GTKY -- I know that I am French Canadian from my mother's side, but my biological father was/is a jackass and he left my life when I was only 2 weeks old so I don't know anything about his side of things. So I've kind of adopted my adoptive father's roots so I like to think I'm a little bit Swedish as well :-PHow are you feeling physically? I've been feeling pretty good. I've had some headaches lately, so I'm trying to up my water intake. Emotionally? My original EDD was last Friday, so that was hard. I had a pretty eventful OB check-up yesterday. This LO did not want to let my doctor find it's heartbeat with the doppler, which gave H and I a total freak out moment. Luckily the ultrasound room was open, so we hopped in there with the doctor and we saw baby's heart beat right away so all is fine! Apparently, this little one just wanted to give us a heart attack.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Passed all of my milestones! A/S scheduled for Oct. 14th!
Vent/bitch/complain/excitement: Well, with our impromptu u/s came some unexpected, exciting news. We found out we're having a BOY! We were totally not prepared to get that info for another month, but are super excited.
GTKY -- Random fact for the day: The Mayflower left port in England today in 1620. That being said, what is your heritage? Is this something you follow & have looked into or are you going on family stories? I'm German, Irish, and Polish. We have some holiday traditions that I hope to continue. How are you feeling physically/emotionally?- ms is mostly gone, but holy exhaustion batman! Depression is a bit better from exercising more.
Upcoming appointments/milestones-
Regular 14 - week checkup 2ma, also dietician appointment 2ma. It's been impossible to find nutrition recommendations for plus - size gals, so really looking forward to the dietician.
Vent/complain/etc. Pgal brain is holding me back from buying things/getting super excited until after the 18- week anatomy scan, even though the previous loss was way earlier. Still have random doom - and - gloom thoughts about baby making it healthily to term.
GT KY - All German on Mom's side (We speak an old northern German dialect that is getting really rare). Dad is a general northern European mutt, with at least 1/8 Irish. His mother belonged to the DAR, which she thought was a big deal.
Gestation in weeks/fruit: 16w
How are you feeling physically? Emotionally? Physically I feel okay some dry heaving which may be caused by not eating small meals frequently enough and also indigestion and heartburn. Emotionally I am feeling okay trying to stay positive and think this WILL be my take home baby. Oddly enough I reach V day on the day I found out I was pregnant with Brynlee the baby I lost.
Upcoming Appointments or Milestones: Tomorrow is my 16w check-up as well as my 2nd cervical check. At the last one I was measuring at 4cm with the MFM said was good. If I didn't get on p17 soon she wanted to put a stitch in and I haven't gotten on p17 yet due to insurance issues so I may find out tomorrow that the MFM wants to put a stitch in. I have weekly cervical checks for the next month.
GTKY -- Random fact for the day: The Mayflower left port in England today in 1620. That being said, what is your heritage? Is this something you follow & have looked into or are you going on family stories? My mom actually traced my heritage back to the Mayflower on one side. However I like to refer to myself as a complete mudblood because I have a little bit of a lot of things.
