My supply took a significant hit. I ended up weaning out pumping around week 8. I still breastfeed a couple times a day, but 13mo DD has been getting almond milk or goat's milk in her sippy (sometimes bottle) since then.
I have always read that as long as you are comfortable pumping, you can continue. It became uncomfortable and unproductive for me. It was just too stressful to pump for twenty minutes and get 1 oz.
You can do it. I had supply issues, and then at 8.5 months, my DS went on a nursing strike. After a week, I just gave up since we are about to do this all over with kid #2.
