Varicose Veins

At my 35 week appt, my OB told me that I had developed varicose veins in my vagina.  I'm now 2.5 weeks PP and noticed in the shower tonight that it's still there.  Anyone know how soon I can expect it to go away?  Anything I can do to help speed it's disappearance or do I just need to be patient?

On a similar note, when can I expect the bleeding to stop?  I'm still having red blood - not a ton, but enough that anytime I think I'm safe to switch from a pad to a liner I regret it.  It's not really bloody - it's more stringy and mucousy but bright/dark red.  Anyone else?  I had thought it would stop by now.
