Please, oh please, I beg of you...make your 3 year old stop jumping on the benches. And while you're at it, if she starts bawling her ever loving eyes out can you PLEASE escort her to the lobby instead of letting her wail for 10 minutes like she's being abused during the sermon? No, we cannot always control our children. However, your kid is notorious for this kind of behavior & you rarely give her more than a glance to "make" her stop. In fact, she isn't even the problem. You are. Kids will be kids but how we respond to them makes a world of difference. Get her out from under the bench (where she army crawls 4 pews backwards), get the markers away from her (where she colors on the benches & carpet) & give her some danged toys that don't make noise (instead of a fully working toy fire truck).
Sincerely,
Skeemer On behalf of every stinkin' person at your church.
I have my 6 week follow-up appointment tomorrow so I was doing the customary shave down. I freakin' cut my leg shaving! What am I, in Junior High again?? Does anyone cut themselves these days? Of course it wouldn't stop bleeding and apparently DH has used all our band-aids, so three Winnie the Pooh band-aids for me!
I hate pumping at work - it interrupts my day. I hate even stopping work to pee, let alone spend 20 minutes three times a day in a freezing office pumping. I also hate that my DH has been getting home so late because my LO has to hang out by herself playing on the mat or in her bouncer while I try to clean all the bottles and pumping stuff from that day, plus get her bottles ready for tomorrow, make dinner, and do house work.
On a good note, she had her 2 month shots today and only cried for a second. Thank God...
What the hell is wrong with all of these stores??? I want some thick and warm socks for my baby because it's getting cold. I've searched Target, BRU, Kohls, and Walmart. I don't want cutesy - useless 3 packs of socks for $8. I don't even pay that much for my 6 pack of socks!
Today in the car DS started whining before we left the store, so I told DH he would need someone to sit in the back to comfort him or we'd listen to him scream the whole way home. I offered to pull over, get in back, and let him drive but he waited till we were out of the parking lot so I made him get in back (DS was having a melt down). After giving him multiple suggestions on how to calm him down and nothing working he (dh) told him (ds) to shut up, I yelled at him for talking to him like that. Then after like 3min of listening to him cry he punched the ceiling of the car. We fought the rest of the way home. Wtf DH, who tells their baby to shut up?and then punched something?
Also DD when your brother is napping in his swing don't decide then is a good time to give him kisses, it wakes him up, makes him cry because he's tired, and makes me angry.
DH will be off work before me today. He is going to leave DS at the sitter until I pick him up at the regular time so we get our maximum time at the sitter.
I'm a little annoyed. If I got off work early (unless I had pressing errands or another appointment) I would go pick him up. DH says that's just because I can feed him. Well... the expressed milk is already there... DH could give him a bottle.
THat would annoy me. Unless he was doing something helpful that he couldn't do and watch baby. Like cleaning.
For the love of god please stop barking at the squirel. I know it is outside mocking you, but your barking only wakes up the baby. While we are at please stop barking at animals on TV
Since LO has come home, we've had a cat die (after $5k in lifesaving measures because I was 2 weeks post partum and could not let her go), we've sent a dog to bootcamp training after he bit my 10yo nephew (to the tune of $2500) and now my other dog has an enlarged heart and is going to a cardiologist tomorrow. We came home from getting the chest xrays done today, and I let the dogs outside (fully fenced back yard) and 5 minutes later, my neighbor is ringing the front bell with both dogs on the front porch. They had escaped the fence and were running around her yard. We need a new fence. To replace the existing fence, it would be 10k, to get the fence we actually want, it would be 20k.
I need to hit the lotto. I love my pets, but I'm just having a day where I need less pets and more cake.
disclaimer - I would never get rid of any pets, and I will just keep going into debt until we get past this eventful phase.
My MBF is yet again about my MIL. Whyyyy does she feel the need to call three times a day? And ask what the baby is doing? And when DH says she's eating, why does she need to ask oh breast or bottle? Does it matter?? DH and I are so done with this whole situation!!! Just leave us alone and stop asking to visit!!

DD1 woke up with pink eye this morning. She's 3. Then I found out that cousins kid had it while they were all playing together this weekend. Really?? Don't you think you should have at least clued us in? I would have been even more diligent about hand washing than I already am. This kid was in m my LO's face all weekend. If she develops pink eye too, I'm gonna lose it. In the meantime, I'm doing mass amounts of laundry, following DD1 around with clorox wipes, and trying to keep the girls away from each other. This is not how I wanted to end my maternity leave. (Supposed to return to work tomorrow, but I can't send kid to daycare with pink eye. Ugh)

I found decently thick, white socks at a Old Navy and Gap. They were $6/3 pack at old navy and $2/pair at Gap, so not cheap, but they usually have email coupons that help being the price down and they are the only socks brag stay on DD's feet.
If you're wanting super thick winter socks, I'm no help there, but let me know if you find some
I started BCP and am due to get my period next week, but instead got it today just before I leave for vacation tomorrow. Awesome to have my first PP Period! FML
I'm so over this heat! We are having a major heat wave here in Southern California and it's unbearable. I'm do jealous of those of those of you looking for thick socks because it's cold.
@TricksyPixie it seems like every single time I go to Walmart lately they don't have what I want. So irritating because I hate going there.
You can go online and check stock or have the thing reserved for pick-up. I also hate going to Walmart and them not having the one thing I want so I do that.
I know it's Tuesday but I still need to rant. I go from one thing to the next. First stitches that aren't healing to a uti and now a yeast infection. I sure hope LO doesn't end up with thrush from this.
And to add to the walmart rant. I went there for baby hangers... nope. They didn't have any. And it started raining while we were in there so I had to haul his car seat about in the rain for nothing. Ugghhhh

I know that it's Tuesday now, but the same thing happened to me! WTF?!
For those looking for really warm socks - REI carries both fleece and wool socks for LOs. When DS1 was tiny I bought him some faux shearling lined faux leather bootie things from Target that were really easy to get on and off and kept his feet warm on errands.

Same thing happened to me. AND I bled for 18 days. FML. .

Our Target & Walmart didn't have them either. We had to get them from Amazon.

Sorry it's Friday, but damn @csmith0085, this reminds me why I shouldn't get any pets. I'm sorry you've had such shitty luck with you're pets this summer. Up until ten years ago, I always had dogs and cats, but dealing with illnesses and death just wore so hard on me, besides all the expense. There's nothing more pure than the love a pet gives, but I'm sorry it's come at such a cost for you.

I also forgot my washable breast pads. So I had to find a pantiliner in my desk and cut it in half to use for the day.
Not-fucking-here.
