Oh shit I didn't know about this, thanks for sharing. Now I feel more paranoid about my dad's bday party this weekend with a bunch of ppl around DS, and of course the best way to avoid it is hand washing. I'm gonna need to stop feeling bad of asking everyone to wash hands, I'm gonna squirt hand sanitizer on everyone!!!! Lol
Yup I'm scared. I also work in healthcare. I typically don't get sick but I'm nervous I'll bring things home to LO. My hands feel raw, maybe I didn't realize how much I didn't wash my hands before baby. Now I feel gross about myself lol
I'm definitely worried. I teach 1st grade, DS will be in daycare, and I FF so he's got a trifecta against him. I feel like I'll need to shower or at least change clothes before I touch him! Of course that's not realistic.
For the most part, this is big scare tactics again. Think H1N1. There was a big to do about it but not nearly as many got sick as anticipated. From what I've read, it is mostly hitting kids with preexisting respiratory conditions. If I see anything coming across the respiratory professionals groups, I'll be sure to share. But remember- this is a VIRUS. Anti-biotics will not work and doesn't do the body any good when they are actually needed.
So I got H1N1 and let me tell you, that shiz was not a joke. I was laid up for more than two weeks, much of it spent with a 100+ degree fever. I would rather be safe than sorryand not consider this as a big scare traffic. Just in my opinion anyway.
I freaked out last week bc DS is weezy and the dr commented on it and the local childen's hospital (where DH works) is over whelmed right now. Turns out DS's breathing tube hasn't fully formed.
I am a little worried about it. I can kind of control things now by limiting where I take C, but when I go back to work I think I will worry more. I work at a college, so students bring things like this into my office from the dorms.
