Just bawled listening to Elton John's song "Your Song". Anybody else have a song that triggers your tears? :)

  • Are you kidding? I cried at a radio commercial on the way to work last week! I don't even need songs anymore to bring the tears on apparently. This baby has officially turned me into a giant baby myself.

Same. My niece died after only 43 minutes of life and it was the summer when this song became popular. No one in my family can hear it without thinking of her.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

This song reminds me of my mom. I had just started nursing school when she was diagnosed and passed. For our Death & Dying class we had to come up with a song that was applicable. Another group selected this song and it struck a cord. That whole class turned into my weekly cry.

  • Ha! I'd love to lay you down - Conway twitty and how can I help you say goodbye - patty loveless.

Actually any song that comes on
  • "I hope you dance" and "Arms of the angel" are big ones. The ASPCA commercials with the latter made it even more sad for me. Those poor animals!
  • "White blank page" by Mumford And Sons. Mostly because it's my brothers song and he is serving a an LDS mission for two years so I haven't seen him in a while.

Wow, I'm sorry for your loss. That class sounds difficult. Bless you.

  • Lots of songs result in tears or a big lump in my throat, but I'll go with Stan Rogers The Mary Ellen Carter. Yes, a song about a boat slays me every time.
  • Sia - breathe me
I have no reason why this song hits me so hard it always had.

    Carrie Underwood - blown away
