I just delivered on Sunday. Obviously it takes time for weight to peel off but was expecting the scale to only be down 6-7 lbs. Esp. since that is the weight of my baby minus fluids, etc. I thought when I had my DS that 10plus came off almost immediately. I am swollen a little now, I am figuring that is contributing but just curious if others have experienced this.
When I got home from the hospital I was only down 2 lbs...wtf! They had pumped me full of fluids. Now at 8 days pp I am down 14lbs. Hoping it continues to come off!
I was completely back to my pre-baby weight 1 week later. Granted that was about 20 lbs more than I was when I met her father... still haven't gotten rid of those 20 lbs at 11 weeks old haha
I didn't even step on a scale until 3 weeks PP, but I was down 20lbs at that time. By 6 weeks I was down another 5lbs. I gained 35lbs total and still haven't lost the last 10 at almost 6 months PP, but I also haven't been putting in much effort.
I was back to prepregnancy weight by 1 week postpartum as well, then dropped another 15, but I am breastfeeding and wasn't taking very good care of myself.

Wow! Those of you that got back to pre-preg. weight right away, did you gain that much through your pregnancy?
I gained about 35 lbs during pregnancy. It seemed to come off very quickly, and at 3 weeks PP I was only 5 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight. I figured I'd be at my pre-pregnancy weight by 4 weeks PP, no problem! I was wrong! At a little over 6 weeks PP, I'm now about 10 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight! While, in general, I don't think that's bad at all, I'm disappointed that I've started to gain weight back. I have a very active job though and exercised a lot pre-pregnancy (and did some exercise during pregnancy). Now I'm on maternity leave and have pretty much just sat home all day with the baby for the last 6+ weeks. This is the most sedentary I've been in forever! I think that's why I'm now gaining weight. I just got clearance to start working out again though, so hopefully that helps. I think once I go back to work....get back on a schedule and become more active again....I'll lose the extra pounds (at least I hope so!). I just have to try to prevent any further weight gain in the next 5 weeks.
I gained 18 pounds total this pregnancy. I lost 16 pounds the first week and three more during week two. With my daughter I gained 26 pounds. I lost 14 pounds in the first two weeks after delivery. It took me another six months to lose the remaining weight.

It took two weeks after my first delivery for the weight to come off. Only gained 17 pounds.
Second delivery I gained 30 pounds, DS is now 6 weeks old and I have about 7 pounds to lose to be at my reg weight again.
I think I lost all of the weight in a week because I was taking horrible care of myself. DD was in the NICU for 11 days. I basically slept, pumped, and sat by her. I think I only ate one real meal at the nurses insistance otherwise it was snack stuff on the trip down the hall. I gained about 30 lbs total.
Had DS two weeks ago and I know I took off a decent amount of weight but haven't gotten up the courage to step on a scale yet. The fact that I weighed 25 lbs more with this little guy than I did at 9months with my older one has been pretty upsetting for me. With DS1 I was back in my prepregnancy pants leaving the hospital. Now I can't even begin to get even get into my early maternity pants. DH has been supportive and tells me I look great but it's hard to believe he really feels that way when I weigh 40lbs more than I did when we met.
I gained 20lbs with DS and with DD. I was back at pre-pg weight by 2 weeks PP each time. By 3 weeks PP, I was below pre-pg weight. I think it was lack of beer.
I lost 10 at the hospital, and am down 24 lbs total and am 5 weeks post partum. I gained 32 total. However the clothes I was able to wear at the weight I am now are no where close to fitting, since everything from the waist down is shaped completely different : (
I am overweight to begin with so my doc recommended only gaining 11-20 pounds. I gained 14. I lost 30 pounds within 3 weeks and now at 4 weeks post partum am sitting steady at the same weight.
I gained 45. I'm 10w pp and still have 17 lbs to go. Congrats to you that lost it so quick. Some of us just may not be that lucky! (Ps I'm working out 3-4 days a week and started dieting about 3 weeks ago when I could no longer BF)
I only gained 15lbs during pregnancy and lost 25 within a week of birth. I just kept eating the things I liked to eat during pregnancy (mostly fruit/veggies and pasta with chocolate here and there) and I've kept it off. All this is nice considering I was a bit overweight before I got pregnant. I have been walking around the block 2x a day or more depending on the weather with baby in tow in the stroller!
I gained 27 lbs while pregnant. When I left the hospital, I was only 5 lbs down, but by 4 weeks out, I was 22 lbs down with only 5 left to go. That being said, I somehow went from being 22 lbs down last week to only 15 lbs down today, and I'm not really quite sure how that happened...
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!
I gained 40 lbs while pregnant. By my 6 week PP appointment I had lost 20lbs. It took until 6 months PP to see the scale to start to move beyond the initial 20 lbs lost - that was with working out 3x a week and watching what I ate. DS is almost a year old now and I just got back into my pre-pregnancy jeans. Keep at it, don't get depressed over your weight, please! Just go out and get yourself some clothes that fit now and keep yourself healthy.
I delivered a week ago. I gained 30 lbs during my pregnancy, was down 10 lbs when I got home, and lost another 10 this week. Ten to go! Ironically this is literally the first time in my life I haven't cared about my weight. I feel like I'm too busy with the baby to snack but my husband shoves food in my face whenever he thinks of it lol. I am looking forward to the doc letting me exercise again (in five weeks!! So far away) mostly cuz I feel so stiff.
I gained 15 lbs this pregnancy and was down 8 lbs when I went to the doctors 4 days pp. I haven't stepped near a scale since. They are no my friend right now.
I gained 50 lb during pregnancy. My lo was 8 lb 11 oz and when I left the hospital I had only lost 10 lbs. Now, 2 weeks later, I have lost 35 lbs by bfing and nothing else. I was swollen for the whole first week because of fluids. Be patient
