So far I know Im gonna have a slider station with sausage and peppers, meatballs and pulled pork with all the toppings. Potato, pasta and tortellini salad and some chic/steak/veggie skewers. I also know Im going to do a big cheese/antipasta/charcuterie table. I feel like I deft need more but I don't know what besides burger and dogs (it better be nice weather)
what is a hero?! A grinder? Why are there so many names!?
I think we are going to order a sandwhich ring from bjs and some party pizza (pizza chips yummmmm) and then make the rest. Like pasta salad and things like that. I need to figure this out
Veggie platter, fruit platter, cheese and cracker platter, chips and salsa, grilled pineapple and habanero meatballs, and meatballs in tomato sauce. Party will be at 2 so no need to have more than this.

We are doing a pumpkin/fall theme party so everything will be a fallish food or comfort kinda food. Appetizers are prob gonna be chips and pretzels with a "pumpkin" cheese ball, pumpkin or squash soup, veggies and crackers. Main dishes are gonna be pulled pork sandwiches, chili, mashed potatoe bar, roasted veggie lasagna, mac&cheese and sourdough bread. My goal is to have everything made ahead of time or crock pot stuff so I don't have to stress myself out too badly getting prepared.
We had a local BBQ place cater pulled pork, smoked ham/turkey and baked beans. I bought chips and dip and my mom made potato salad. We also had lemonade, pop and beer.
Getting the BBQ food (2qts of meat, 2lbs each of turkey/ham and 3qts of beans) was still cheaper than a stupid 3' sun at Subway. Definitely the way to go!
We are catering from a local Italian deli. We'll probably have chicken parm, a pasta dish and a salad. I'll make most of the apps, though I haven't figured that out yet.
Since we are doing a baseball theme, we will be having foods you find at a baseball game. Hot dogs, nachos, soft pretzels (if I can find a holder), & pizza. We will also probably have some hamburgers for those who don't like hot dogs and I will have a nacho bar.
I think I'm going to do a pasta bar with different shaped pastas and a few different sauces. I'm thinking I will make penne al la vodka, something with pesto, Mac and cheese and a marinara. I'll also make some meatballs so there's some meat involved and I'll make a big salad and get some good bread. I'm also doing a big tray with Cheese, cured meats and some olives and breadsticks.
@WhenInRome11 that pasta bar sounds awesome! And pretty easy!
@SeeJayEmm that was exactly my thought. It's no expensive, delicious and fairly easy. I'm planning on making the sauces throughout the week so the day of I just need to boil pasta and put everything together.
We had DD's party on Sunday. We did a hotdog (nitrate free angus hotdogs- go Oscar Mayer) bar- chicago dogs, traditional, and chili cheese dogs, fresh fruit, homemade mac n cheese (go pioneer woman- her recipe was a HIT), and kettle chips. Everyone loved it and it was super easy :-)
