No Morning Sickness

Today I am 6wks. I have had two blighted ovums in the last year. My doctor put me on progesterone and baby aspirin in hopes that I would have a viable pregnancy this time. I'm hopeful, because this is the first time I've ever had any pregnancy symptoms. My boobs are tender, I'm exhausted, and moody. I'm concerned because I haven't had any real morning sickness other than not wanting to eat at all. Food just doesn't sound good. I'm terrified that this will lead to another miscarriage. Has anyone else experienced the same thing? I'm going crazy with worry.

Good luck with this pregnancy. I never had morning sickness with this pregnancy & I'm 29wks. Symptoms or no symptoms really mean nothing. Also, not to scare you, but oral progesterone can also cause the symptoms you are having.

Try to stay positive and remember every pregnancy is different. I highly recommend reading the mantras at the top of the board.

I wouldn't be overly concerned that you aren't having sickness. I've had very mild nausea and only actually gotten sick a few times. Symptoms really aren't a very good indication of how your pregnancy is going because every one is different. *hugs* don't over stress yourself.

The fact that you don't have ms does t mean anything about the health of your pregnancy. I know when PgAL we have a tendency to over analyse every little thing, I'm guilty if it myself but not all women get full on ms. Also for many women if they are going to get ms it doesn't start until later. At 6 weeks you're still very early. The fact that you have the other symptoms is a great sign though.

If you are concerned I would suggest you go get betas drawn this week. BOs and ectopics tend to not show normal doubling. Seeing good numbers could ease your mind.

Not everyone gets the in-your-face-puking-every-day morning sickness. Sometimes it's just food aversions or some nausea. Sometimes it doesn't start until 7 or 8 weeks. I didn't have any morning sickness at all this time and I'm still going strong at 23 weeks. A lack of symptoms =/= an unhealthy pregnancy.

My m/s symptoms were very similar to yours - I never once threw up and only had small amounts of nausea mostly from 7-10 weeks.

I didn't know that about the progesterone. So are you saying that it might be a false positive or another mc? I'm so glad I go to the doctor on Friday.

I haven't had morning sickness with either of my pregnancies, and both have been healthy. This time my only consistent symptom has been exhaustion, not even sore boobs until around 13 weeks, so try not to worry too much.

She is saying that side effects to oral progesterone supplements mimic pregnancy symptoms. I took oral progesterone and noticed some symptoms from them-tender boobs, headaches, exhaustion. Otherwise, I've had zero pregnancy symptoms.

I only had occasional nausea early on and never puked-baby is doing fine.

Consider yourself lucky. I have a friend who puked every day through 20 weeks and it definitely didnt look like fun!

I never had nausea through my two successful pregnancies, just food aversions. This time, I only have mild nausea. No nausea doesn't mean you'll have an unsuccessful pregnancy and vice versa.

I know how you feel. I felt slightly quesey until week 8 but since then nothing. (I'm on week 11 now) Some women just don't get it as bad as others. ::hugs::

Thanks for the feedback. I'm a total worry wart and have been having nightmares for days. I know worry and stress aren't good for the baby, but I'm totally freaking out about the oral progesterone mimicking pregnancy symptoms. It's so hard because I'm 37 and I want this so bad and I'm not sure I can handle a third mc.
