Late Term and Child Loss

Going through his things :(

***sorry, double post***
***warning sig***
I've been wanting to get a quilt made with all of the outfits our son wore and all of the things with his name monogrammed on them. I've been putting it off, but finally contacted the woman who I was told does a great job. Anyway, today I was determined to get the things together so I can finally have the quilt made, and it was soooo hard going through his things. I still haven't washed some of the things he wore/used, so I'm doing that now, but I made sure to breathe in every spit up stain a couple of times before I did. I can't believe he is gone, this is so unfair :(

Me 32 (Stage IV Endometriosis, short luteal phase) DH 38

  • I'm so sorry. This all so very unfair. The quilt sounds like such a great way to honor and remember your son. Try to focus on what you will gain, a beautiful quilt. Thinking of you.

I've heard about those quilts, such a beautiful idea. I'm so proud of you for being strong enough to go through his things, that must have been a difficult task.
  • Sending hugs. The quilt is a beautiful idea but I know how hard it is.
  • shandorfml2: I love the idea of wrapping myself in it :)

((hugs)).  I also thought of the quilt idea, but thinking of going through Ben and Conner's things is just too painful.  I leave their closet alone.  Your strength is going to help produce something wonderful to remember your little one by :)

I love the idea of a quilt - maybe I'll do something like that with the clothes I bought Devon but he'll never wear (I don't want to get rid of them, but I don't want them staying in a box forever). You're so strong for being able to do that and wanting to create something beautiful to remember your sweet boy. *hugs*
