all this movie talk got me thinking...what's your favorite scary/twisted/fucked up movie? I'm a huge scary movie fan. The sicker the better IMO.. I love all rob zombie movies
I love horror movies as well. But more ghosts and ghoulies type. The Saw type is way too stressful for me. Oh and anything with inbred, hillbilly, mountain men like Wrong Turn and House of Wax!
My favorites are the original Halloween, and Friday the 13th.
@TREDgirl do you like the rob zombie Halloween movies? I think they're way better and the kid in the first one is so freaky
I really like the 1st one, but didn't care for the second one as much. Not sure why, but it just didn't sit right. And I still have never seen House of 1000 Corpses.
Oooh and I love Trick or Treat! Such a good movie!
And I'm super pumped about this season of American Horror Story-Freakshow. I LOVE old timey carnival stuff!!!
I can't stand the gore movies, especially the ones that hyper sexualize violence. I like thrillers, too.
The scary movie that I can't stop watching, but straight up gives me nightmares is IT. I haven't seen it in a long time, but I read the book a few years ago. Big. Mistake. I have a Pennywise dream at least once a month. He haunts me.
I couldn't even read all of your descriptions...my heart started pounding and I was getting sick to my stomach. I am the biggest scaredy cat in the world.
@ElleStaxx I think we might have talked about this before but yea human centipede is so wrong I could not watch it. Nope I was like shut it off now!!! And I loved sinister! Ahhhhhh so scary
I avoid scary movies because they stay with me for years. The Exorcist scares the shit out of me, even with the bad effects (pea soup and her head spinning). I even have issues with the couple things The Craft borrowed from it.
Not that this is a scary/horror movie but The Sixth Sense scared me because it was so accurate.
Um did you see The Conjuring @carawasa? True story about a haunted house in RI. That was the last scary movie I saw. I was about 24wks pg and I peed my pants a little and screamed when Callan kicked me. Usually I am not a pussy but it really got to me.
The Exorcism of Emily Rose was disturbing. I will forever close my eyes at 3am if I happen to wake up.
3AM is the witching hour. Most people think midnight is. I wake a lot around then.
I did @wedding06 and I thought it SUCKED! And I drove to "the house" and it wasn't the same one!! I thought it was like an awful haunted house with the face make up lol...idk why. But the movie they're making about the doll looks really good! And the exorcism of Emily rose was also so scary. I actually thought twice about naming Emma, Emma because her middle name is rose and i was like Too close! Hah
3am freaks me out. Whenever I wake up at that time I am terrified!
OMG @crunchymama11 that is a very eerie movie! When they come to the door and they are like "is so and so here" no "are you sure" omg it gives me the chills every time!!! Love that and I love liv Tyler too.

@muffyvonmuff it's the witching hour or the dead hour supposedly it's when witchcraft and scary shit happens...now I want to go to Salem. But not at 3am #nothankyou

I should have never opened this!! I will NOT be looking at the clock when I wake in the middle of the night ever again!!!!!!

Much better! I will tell myself that repeatedly tonight when LO wakes up exactly at 3am and decides to be awake for the entire hour! :-SS
Re: scary movies
I can't do the gory stuff anymore, I'm too old. And after the first Paranormal Activity, I refuse to watch another of those.
ETA: also Se7en. Loved it.
House of the Devil is one of my faves. i like Rob Zombie except his last one did not impress me much.

The most disturbing movie I have ever seen was called I spit on your grave. It was so messed up....why do I like this stuff?!
