Diapers...Pampers Swaddlers

Is anyone else having problems with Pamper Swaddlers?

We loved the newborn ones but just moved up to the size 1 and are having a problem with LO poo coming out of the leg. We make sure and put the "frilly" part out around the legs but it still happens ...we have 3 more boxes of these before we can switch if necessary but would love to stag with these...if we're doing something wrong please help

    We like the swaddlers a lot for DS. He had a few blowouts about a week ago but then we moved him to size 2 and it has been great. I love the pee indicator.

    Is your LO in a boarderline weight?

    Hmm we did the switch at 12 lbs. I would think 10 lbs. would be well in the size 1 band. Do you have a size 2 you could test with? Were they working fine for awhile and then he started having the blowouts?

    My LO has been in size 1 swaddlers since 10 lbs. I've had good luck with the pampers, though on occasion they can't contain everything. If my little guy is especially wiggly when I'm trying to diaper him, I will usually have that diaper fail later. No matter what I do, it's like putting a diaper on a gator doing a death roll. Are you tightening them up enough at the top? If I don't get it tight enough we usually have some leakage, too.

    We do have a size 2 we can try..the size 1 looks too big for him now but the newborns are way too small.

    We do make sure they are fastened tightly but fit some reason it still comes out the leg...sometimes the diaper is not even full and it's like he poops on one side and out it comes

    I hated the size 1 Pampers. After we finished box #1 we ended up taking our unopened boxes to Walmart and exchanging them for Huggies Snugglers and liked those much better. They just fit DD's body shape better and we had no leakage where the pampers would leak. We just went up to size 2 and are back with Pampers from having a diaper cake that was made of those diapers. I like size 2 much better! Once I'm done with this I have another Huggies box to move to, so I'm interested to see which one I like better in this size.

    I hell hate huggies. Every size every way I put them on ds they leak. I'm passports all the way. Pampers seems to keep it all containedand stay in better.

    I just plan for poosplosions. Hannah is 8 pounds. Both pampers and huggies NBs are too small. Size 1s in both are way too loose around the legs. So we are currently in Targets NBs, which go up to 10 pounds. Poo comes up her back in these.

    Ugh. Poo everywhere.

    DD2 is still in the nb pampers size and is 10lbs. We haven't had a problem yet, can you go back down to the nb size?

    I think sometimes they just leak because the poop is still runny at this stage. The swaddlers fit the baby well and he's only just over 9 pounds so I know he's not ready for size 2 but depending on how he is laying down when he poops, sometimes it just escapes a little.

    You could always just try a small pack of a different brand if you wanted to see if something worked better. If I remember, Target brand sometimes runs a little bigger. I don't know if that's still the case but I remember with DS1 their size 1s were a little bigger than Pampers. If you find something that works better, you can usually return the boxes to a store that sells the same box (like Walmart), sell them, or if you don't need the money back, donate them.

    I had this problem for a bit as my LOs legs were pretty skinny. I flared out the frilly part like you said. Ans pulled it back a bit it make sure that inside frilly part was covering all the butt. It helped a lot. I also pulled them up on the back to make sure they were good and on. Now that she's put on some weight it's much better!

    We love our pampers. no problem with size 1. Make sure they are on tight enough. possibly try size 2.

    I switched to huggies because pampers swaddlers leaked pee at least once a day.  Mama ain't got time for that!  We now use only huggies pure and natural  Love 'em!!!  So soft and never leak.

    We love the swaddlers in size 1. We are currently between 1 and 2, so we are going to try the target brand size 1 before moving up to pampers size 2 since they are a bit big still. And at $14 for the big 112 count box, I'm already happy.

    With DS, when he started leaking, it was time to size up. With DD, no leaks yet, but we went from the hospital supply and gifts of the NB size to one box of 1s, and now we're in 2s.

    We love the swaddlers and the baby dry by pampers. Right now I've been using the Huggies we got as a gift and today alone I've changed her clothes 4 times. Pampers are so much better, IMO!
