Also, a question: in the weight loss group on my BMB, a lot of people were kind of in a slump (including me), so I had the idea to start doing weekly challenges. Is this something you guys would be interested in?
I'm awful; up 6 pounds in 4 days. Logically, I know it's mostly water weight, but I still hate seeing the bigger number on the scale. We had DD's birthday last weekend and DH's birthday this weekend, so I am anxious to get back to my normal eating/exercising habits. My birthday is in 6 weeks and I have a goal weight in mind that I just absolutely have to hit. It'd make me so happy if I do.
A weekly challenge? Like what? I'd be interested.
The challenges are just going to be basic stuff, not like do 10,000 sit-ups or anything. For example, this is our first one:
Challenge: Water, Water, Everywhere!
Drinking enough water is something we should all be doing, but probably aren't. It's also one of the easiest things to do to promote weight loss. So this week, try to drink at least 64 oz of water each day. If you want, aim for more...I try for 100 oz since I'm BFing. Tip: Drink a glass of water half an hour before each meal. It will help you feel more full.
I'm up 1 lb :-( it's a combo of water weight because I'm PMSing and the fact that I had to take a week off from workouts after hurting my back (and ate like crap during that week!). I'm back on track now though!
I'd be interested in challenges. My water intake is a continuous struggle so I'll accept that challenge this week!
This week was much better exercise wise. I did a spin class, boot camp class and yoga class. I ate right but could have done better refusing some sweets.
I like the idea of a challenge! I really need to drink more water and less coffee.
My bff and I each make two small goals everything month. Ones that arent hard to keep, but still create better habits by the end of the month (mine: drink 64oz water day before any alcohol, and strength train twice a week. Her's: only one sweet treat a day and log at least one meal a day in mfp). We're on month 2 and it's awesome.
But no matter what I can't seem to make the scale budge. I keep going up and down the same 5 lbs. I'm starting to blame in on bfing.
My water intake has never been an issue- I typically drink 13-15 cups per day (so over 100 ounces per day). So instead, I will make my goal this week to drink only water (and my 1 cup of coffee in the morning). Thanks for sharing the goal- I'm looking forward to a new challenge each week!
I ran 4 miles in 46 minutes with a friend this morning. I will be sugar free for 2 weeks tomorrow!!
I weighed myself again today and was down a bit, not even a pound from last week - but after a 5.8 lb loss last week, I guess it is expected. I am still dreaming of fattening, sugary food though.
I run the marathon relay on Saturday!! I have a 6.6 mile leg.
I'm doing well. I got rid of the fluid retention from that shot and am maintaining below my original UGW. I'm thinking of trying to cut a few more pounds. I'm in between sizes and that should tip me to the smaller one. It will also put me at my wedding weight from 7.5 years ago. It's hard though with our school/activity schedule to find the time to work out this fall. I'm hoping things will calm down after my in-laws visit this week. I can lose it by cutting calories, but I'm hungry dammit!
