Bites

So DS has these bumps on him and I can't figure out what it is. At first it didn't bother me but now I'm a little concerned. It started early last week with. A red bump on his knee, it got a head on it and then popped and clear liquid came out. Then Thurs or Fri he got 2 more on his right arm by his elbow. Same thing happened except they haven't popped. And today we notice 4 more on him 3 on his left leg and 1 on his right leg and all are on his thigh.

He isn't bothered by them at all. No scratching no fussing no nothing! He isn't outside that much since it has been way to hot to be outside for a long time. They look like bites but we haven't/can't figure out what. I'm tempted to call the dr since they keep showing up but since he isn't bothered by them I'm not sure if they could even do anything.

Any advice ladies?

Is it hand foot mouth? The sores are little blisters. When dd had it they started on her thigh. She had a couple on her hands, none in her mouth that we knew of.

I've attached a pic of the ones on her toes.image

  • I was going to suggest hfm too. If it is, there isn't anything you can do about it but keep your lo comfortable. Also, no daycare or contact with other kids if it is hfm. Any fever? Other symptoms?

  • No not like that and not near his hand or foot just arms and thighs. No other symptoms at all! He doesn't go to daycare the only other kid he is around is my 3 year old niece and she doesn't go to daycare either. He has been and still is acting normal which is why I am stumped as to what it is.
  • Did he eat anything different? Different detergent? Maybe it's a rash.

  • Top picture is how they start and second picture is his arm and those have been there a few days. imageimage
  • @deedee1017‌ nothing new and we still use dreft detergent because people bought us tons.
  • Those don't look like bites to me. Hives maybe? I have no idea. Can't hurt to have him checked.

  • So I gave in and called the Dr office. The nurse is a girl I went to school with so it helps a little. She said as long as it's not crusty or draining to just put hydrocortisone cream on it and watch it. Obviously if he has a reaction we need to bring him in. Thanks ladies for your help I feel a little better now but still curious.
