When do you take your vitamins?

I've been taking them at night and usually it's fine, but tonight I've not been able to sleep! They made me SO hungry/nauseous so I finally just gave in, got up, and made some tea and cereal. Today is going to be a LONG day at work!

Anyone have luck taking vitamins at a different time? I usually avoid mornings (due to nausea... of course). Or does anyone spread them out over the day? Right now I take a vegetarian prenatal multi, veg DHA, B12, and B complex.

  • I take mine after I eat. Yes insomnia is driving me crazy. I just want to sleep.

  • I take liquid omegas in the am and a calcium, folic, and b complex with lunch. I do better when taken with food.

  • Usually after lunch (my biggest Mel of the day and while I'm at work. I tend to forget when I'm at home

  • I take mine in the morning but took them at night yesterday because I forgot in the morning. I wonder if that's why I slept like crap last night?

  • I take mine right after breakfast, which works great for me, but for those suffering nausea and are unable to eat, it might not work.

  • Can't take mine in the morning due to m/s, but my DHA supplement is supposed to be taken with food, so I take mine with dinner. Maybe you could try that? Taking them with food all the time might help. I know if I take mine on a empty stomach it makes me feel crappy, no matter what time of day

  • I used to take them after breakfast, but the all day nausea seemed worsened by this habit. For the past few weeks, I take them right after dinner, and it's been a bit better. He only problem I'm having if forgetting..I've set a phone alarm for this week to help me remember.

  • I usually take them in the evenings after my dinner has settled. Otherwise I'm burping up fish oil and it's really gross.

  • Whenever I remember. Could be afternoon or evening or before bed.
  • In the morning with my coffee.
  • 8w5d As recommended, I started taking folic acid before we started trying. I found that it made me nauseous every morning (before we got pregnant!). I now take all of my vitamins after dinner, before bed. I think the full stomach helps and I have been feeling great during the day.
  • I take them after dinner while cleaning the kitchen.

  • I take mine before bed and I eat something with them. Some nights I still wake up hungry and scarf down some crackers.

  • Two in morning, two at night. Able to take on empty stomach (MegaFood Baby & Me), unless I try to choke them down without water. DHA oil in smoothie or hot cereal.
  • I take rainbow light in the morning with breakfast. I have to take them with food otherwise I feel nauseous. I like taking them in the morning bc they help me to feel more alert, which is good bc I stopped drinking coffee altogether.
  • Usually after dinner.

  • I take mine first thing in the morning when I'm too groggy to really think about it.  The smell of the prenatal gets to me if I think about it (it smells like fish food).  Lately I've been burping up the DHA pill fishy after taste (so gross), so I may switch that to before bed.
  • Before bed with a 1/2 or 1/4 of a Unisom.
  • I take mine in the AM while I eat breakfast. It sounds like everyone is different :)
  • Morning, & I deal with the nausea upset stomach. Mine isn't to the horrible degree as what my friends experienced. So id rather a couple crappy hours in the morning, than lose precious sleep hours
    I've tried mid day, but then the symptoms just last longer

  • I take omegas at lunch and omegas and prenatals with dinner. I take medication for hypothyroid when I wake up in the morning and Dr said to separate them - anything with minerals needs to be taken 3-4 hrs after taking thyroid meds.
