Life hacks

Does anyone have any good ones?

Today I picked up a round clothes basket for $1 and put LO in it in the tub. He loved being able to sit up and splash in the water and it was so much easier to bath him. Plus he couldn't fall over face first in the tub.

  • @zazu13‌ yes I do that too! I also measure out the formula into a dispenser and take it all to bed with us. I hate MOTN feedings, I'm all for whatever makes it easier!
  • I also keep a pack of kitchen prep gloves in my car to use when I fill my tank... because gas pump handles are NASTY germy things, yo!

I just have to ask...what do you do in public bathrooms?

Lots of opening handles with paper towels or sleeves, opening doors with hips or feet, and very little touching of anything. I've mastered the process as much as is possible.

ETA: I hope you all think of me each time you put gas in your car and touch that handle (and then your car door handle, steering wheel, phone, car seat, baby, etc). You'll all be following suit with the crazy lady gloves soon enough!

You would LOVE a gas station here, it's connected to the grocery store Martins (like how Kroger or HEB has gas). They provide gloves for you!
  • That sounds like my cousin, she taught my son how to flush with his foot when he was old enough to reach. He even did it at my grandma's house lol

I sanitize as soon as I'm back in the car! I'm with you: germs!

I am envisioning you snuggling with your formula dispenser and bottles of water under the covers ;)

microwave a bowl of water for 3 minutes before you clean the inside. it loosens any goop.

Just don't go over 5 minutes. I did that and the pressure caused the bowl to go flying out of my microwave. Luckily no one got hurt!

    Blast from the past!

I gotta go there: do you still carry a gun in your diaper bag?

hahaha I sold it! I have one in the car, but I switched bags and it just didnt work. so in short, no. How on earth do you remember that?! @MamaFantastic‌
  • I add a little white vinegar in the washing machine when anything is really stinky and it neutralizes the odor.

We bring the baby tub to the beach. Works well with a towel for napping or with water if he gets warm.
  • I feel like a total cleaning slacker after reading these!

Any suggestions on how to spot clean rugs? We have all hardwood floors but area rugs in the living room and the nursery that are looking a little gross.

Lol! At this point, if I were gonna snuggle with a bottle, it would be full of wine!
  • Thanks @Acers‌! I'll give that a shot

Yes! I got to do this, I'm a learner driver, driving test this week!

filled up my partners car the other day for the first time, and got it all over my hands, thought it was me being inexperienced, gloves will be a must
