HAPPY SUNDAY LADIES!  It's super chilly here in upstate NY!  Sorry this is a drive by this week.  My grad classes are kicking my butt and I just HAD to go to Oktoberfest yesterday (LOL)!


This is the weekly check-in for TTCALers who are also dealing with infertility. If you'd like to join us please feel free to intro with your diagnosis and history. We've had a few extra challenges thrown at us, ladies. Come here for snuggles from people who get what you're dealing with. 

Fill us in, along with any other updates or vents you need to get out, TTCAL or NonTTCAL related.

    AFM:  Still haven't received my official calendar yet but I called the office and they said that my FET would most likely be on 10/27 or 10/28.  It's crazy to me that FETs can be that pin pointed.  I'm not going to get my hopes up that my body is going to cooperate, it's surprised me many times throughout this process!  I might PM those of you who have gone through FETs to get more info!  My grad classes are really tough and I'm feeling very overwhelmed.  I'm not sleeping well because I'm so anxious about the work load which isn't helping!  I'm going to schedule an appointment with my acupuncturists next week, hopefully that will help calm me down!

    AFM: I'm 5dp5dt. I'll probably test tomorrow, but I'm not feeling very hopeful. I'm having no symptoms, and with all these drugs I'm on, that makes me feel even worse. Beta is Thursday!

    QOTW: a good listener, someone who can make me laugh because I tend to be overly stressed, and who I can tell anything too - especially with all these invasive IF details!

    I am so sorry you aren't feeling hopeful!  You have to remember that some women don't have any symptoms at all until much later on.  Obviously it's much more reassuring when you do feel something out of the ordinary, but you're not out yet!!  I'm keeping all of my fingers and toes crossed for you and will be sending you positive thoughts and prayers!

    Hi ladies!

    @Frenchteachermama‌ fx your body cooperates! I'm super jealous over the Oktoberfest and cool weather you are having! Over here in Cali it is in the 100's with severe heat advisories......... Even at the beach @-) so my a/c is getting a workout and I'm keeping my butt inside.

    @ky29‌ hang in there lady! It is super early still. I finally had 1 symptom at 7dp5dt last time and the symptom was sudden lightheadedness. I honestly thought I was out at 5dp5dt too. FX your LO(s) are snuggling in nice and tight.

    Nothing new. I'm still hanging out on the estrace. Next up is my activation biopsy on the 26th........ Scary monsters! Not looking forward to that lol

    Hi ladies...sorry for the crazy formatting. AFM: nothing much....just on Bcp waiting on instructions for when I will start meds...prob not till the end of the month. I've been spotting brown for over a week which is annoying but I am assuming is a normal reaction to Bcp? I'm going to message my dr. In the morning about it. Qotw: someone who listens and really cares

    @O2girl-I hope all goes well on the 26th.
    @bunnybun4-Sorry you are spotting. I had a brown spotting when I was on bcp.

    AFM- Nothing new, still waiting for AF to show.  I have been very moody, so I am hoping that is a sign AF will be here soon.  Today was beautiful and I'm glad are able to turn the AC off and have the windows open. 

     QOTW- Someone who is a good listener, a sense of humor, and someone I can trust.

    What is an activation biopsy?  I'm following you so closely because I'm just a few weeks behind you in this process!  OMG 100 degrees still?  Maybe I can send you some of my 50 degree weather and you can send me some of yours?

    Definitely call your doctor but I know so many women who spot on bcp.  Let us know what they say!!

    @bunnybun4 sorry about the spotting, hopefully it will stop soon.

    @Rocks526 I love when the house can be opened up. I hope AF arrives soon.

    AFM : My Dr finally got back to me about the ultrasound.  I had a collapsed cyst from my last cycle. So it is a reminder that my pcos is active. I am waiting for cd 35 or AF whichever comes first. Then we attempt another femara trigger round. I have just started metformin.  Last night was the first dose it felt like I had heart burn. I am limited by my finances unfortunately. So I am taking this cycle to eat better but drink more.

    QOTW : I look for uncomplicated friendships. I look for humor, mild temper, and common sense.

    @Frenchteachermama‌ an activation biopsy is when they go in and make a small hole in the lining because the hole then hopefully gives the embryo a nice place to gravitate towards and the healing process in the ute produces chemicals that make the ute more hospitable for the embryo. My RE does it for women like myself who have difficulties carrying. FX this all works!

    As for the weather....... Yup still hot as hell here :)

    @frenchteachermama I'm sorry that your classes have been so stressful. FX that things settle down a bit & that you get your FET schedule soon. I'm fascinated by the whole FET process. 

    @ky29 FX so, so hard for you! When is your beta?

    @O2girl FX that the biopsy goes smoothly for you. 

    @bunnybun4 Sorry you're spotting. I hope its just a reaction to the bcps.

    @Rocks526 I hope AF shows for you soon. Moodiness is usually a huge indicator for me.

    @rubysi I'm so sorry about the cyst. I hope that resolves soon, Good luck getting started with the Metformin. The first week is the worst.


    Sorry I've been MIA for a couple weeks. I hope everyone has been well. I'm 10dpo on our break cycle, should hit CD1 tomorrow. I'm not really looking forward to dealing with that & super shitty timing, but oh well. I'll be going in on cd3 for an ultrasound & hopefully starting Clomid at the end of the week. I feel like I have cysts on both sides, fx that I'm wrong.

    We're going to visit the local butterfly garden & maybe a quick beach trip tomorrow for our EDD. I'm hoping that is healing for MH, he's been having a really hard time lately.

I am waiting for cd 35 or AF whichever comes first. Then we attempt another femara trigger round. I have just started metformin.  Last night was the first dose it felt like I had heart burn. I am limited by my finances unfortunately. So I am taking this cycle to eat better but drink more.

    I'm so sorry about the cyst.  I hope that AF shows on her face soon so you can try again!!

    IVF #1, Stimmed for 12 days, ER 8/22/14, 9 retrieved, 7M, 7F!!  Freeze all due to fluid in uterus.
    FET end of October 2014 cancelled due to fluid in uterus due to possible c-scar defect
    Surgery scheduled 12/12/14 to fix possible isthmocele
    3/26/15 transferred one 8 cell grade 4 embryo and one 6 cell grade 3 embryo = slow rising betas for 2+ weeks = ectopic MTX shot 4/29/15
    Repeat c-scar surgery June 2015
    2nd and last IVF cycle August 2015, stimmed for 12 days, 2 egg retrieved, both mature and both fertilized.  Transferred both 8-cell embryos on Day 3, beta 9/5/15 = BFFN
    MOVING TO ADOPTION!
