Really ridiculous diaper rash question...

Ok, I should know if this is a diaper rash or not but I don't. It's on DS's testicals. It's just red on some areas. Ugh I don't like changing boys. It's not bothering him at all, I don't think. Humor me.. What should I do. Don't make me google bc then all sorts of pictures will come up. Yuck. Should I just use a lot of diaper rash cream? DD never had a diaper rash (or strange looking testicals) so this is new to me... Help :). And then go call me an idiot, that's fine

    And then I'm thinking maybe they are getting red bc they are getting smushed in the diaper... Ok I'm done talking now. Haha

    Is it a rash or just some pinkness, like irritation? For the latter, I just put a dab of Vaseline on the area in question and it tends to look normal again on its own.

    More like just pinkish is areas. Not a rash. That's why I'm confused. I don't want to ignore it if it is the start of a rash... I'll put Vaseline on.

    It may be from wipes and frequent changing. I blot dry with a tissue or dry cloth wipe and apply Vaseline or aquaphor.

    I also put Aquaphor on DS all the time when he was in diapers.  It is a cure-all for me.  Well, I think it cures all.  Not sure if it really does.  Haha.

    Start with assuming it's diaper rash and put some Triple Paste on it... If it doesn't clear up or get better, then switch out the wipes and/or the diapers and see if that helps... If that doesn't and by that point you've determined it's not just a "normal" thing,  then consider food sensitivities...

    Yes, boys are a whole different ballgame!!  Girls are SO much easier!!!

    This just made me giggle considering the topic :-)

    Try Aquafor.  I agree it is the miracle cure.
