OMG BFing a baby with teeth

DD now has her two bottom front teeth. While she is not biting me I can feel those little things against my nipples. And since she is attached to me most of the night these days OMG I am so sore. DS got his teeth much much later and I had stopped nursing him by then.

Please tell me I will get used to this, similar to how your nips are on fire when you first start BFing and then at some point they adjust and you stop hurting.

    The tongue should be over them but sometimes you can still feel them. You will both adjust.

    Tessa straight up chomps down on me and grinds her jaw back and forth when she's done nursing and she's just playing around.

    Ha, yup! I'm going through the exact same thing - DS just got his 2 bottom teeth and last week my nipples were killing me! It's already better this week though :)

    On I forgot about that fun adjustment period. Yes, the tongue covers bottom teeth most of the time, but there's still an adjustment.

    DD1 bit me twice. If/when this happens do not pull baby off- push baby into the boob, they'll unlatch. If you pull off, they still have their teeth holding the nipple.

    I let out a little yelp, said 'no', put her in the crib and left the room for a minute the second time. She got the message.

    @ksulli - thank you for that tip. Because that sounds way too painful for my already aching nipples to handle.

    And seriously if BFing is so good for babies, why does it have to be so flipping hard? Just when I thought I had things down now I have baby teeth to contend with.

    DH wanted to play with the girls the other night and I was totally "GTFO". Off limits!!!

    DD1 bit me once - I let out a really loud ow and broke her latch and took the boob away for a minute or so. She never did it again. The ow really scared her.

    I think things will be different with this LO - she chomps down on my nipples all the time without teeth. Nothing phases her
