Cue freak out... Why did I do that?!?

I will be 7 weeks on Tuesday. On a whim I decided to pee on another Wondfo this morning (no other reason than just PgAL brain has kicked in a bit lately) well the line was there but it was a bit lighter than the last test I took. The last one showed up about as dark as the control line, this one was a shade or two lighter. So of course cue the freak out!! Are you kidding me?!? Please tell me that this could be normal, I have had no other indication of anything wrong but haven't been in to see my dr yet either (October 6th is my first apt and u/s). Ugh why did I even pee on that stupid test?!?

    Totally normal.  The line can change in color depending on many factors like urine concentration, differences between the tests themselves, etc.  A positive is a positive is a positive.  Only betas are a true judgement of rising HCG.  :)

    Wondfo's have never worked properly for me. Don't worry, I'm sure all is fine. You could always call to see if your doctor will get you in for an early ultrasound. Given your history, they may agree to have you come in.

    We do these things to ourselves- and then regret it. (I was still temping and yesterday my temp was a little low and I freaked out. So today I put the thermometer far far away.) Do yourself a favor and get rid of the pregnancy tests, or give them to someone who is TTC, or have your H hide them. So many things can influence how dark the line is. If you are really concerned and won't be able to relax until you know things are OK, call your dr and ask to be seen sooner or to get blood work to check betas.

    Thanks ladies!! I know I need to put the darn tests down!! All it does is cause me grief... And I really have no reason to worry right now. My Dr is on vacation which is why I can't get in earlier, but I think I may be switching Drs anyways (due to insurance) so I am gonna call tomorrow and see if that office can get me in earlier.

    Wondofos are not good for tracking HCG. The amount of dye in them varies so much from test to test. Put them away :) Today you are pregnant!

    Wondfos are not my favorite either. With this pregnancy, the FRERs got progressively darker from 9dpo on. The Wondfos weren't even dark at like 21 DPO.

    I forgot to add, my 12dpo wondfo was darker than my 14dpo one. Don't stress. They're 50 cents each for a reason ;)

    PUT DOWN THE PEE STICKS ( I say that as I was I the dollar tree theis weekend and contemplated picking up a test to do myself so I understand the urge)

    Quoting myself to add that, if you wanted to run the experiment, you could **dilute** the pee and try again. If it's the hook effect, the line will be a lot darker.

    But stepping away from the pee sticks is also a good idea. :)

    I did the exact same thing lol! Drinking water, urinating more often or even the test itself can alter these things. Back away from the pee sticks lol. Hard to do as I am a POAS addict big time and love those things. I took another one with my FMU after my lighter one and it was dark as can be. I think the one I took may have been old or different somehow or I was drinking a lot of water...not sure. But as PPs have said they really mean nothing. A line is a line. Only a blood test can track HCG. Whatever you do don't buy the Clearblue Week Estimators to check. I made that mistake too and I scared the heck out of myself when the weeks would go backwards and then forwards again. Lesson learned. I cut myself off cold turkey.

    Step away from the pee sticks but for the record-I had terrible experiences with the cheap sticks too. I had blaring positives with FRER and barely a smidge on the cheap one. At one point I think my beta was over 700 and the stick was still barely positive. Go relax and have DH hide the sticks ;)

    *Male Factor (low count and low motility), High Prolactin, and Polycystic Ovaries (March 2013)
    *Recurrent Miscarriage testing also revealed high anti-phospholipids & single MTHFR mutation. (Feb 2014) 

    *IVF (07/2013): BFP-Natural Miscarriage @ 5 weeks* <3 Madison Riley <3
    *FET #1 (10/2013): BFN
    *FET #2 (12/2013)- BFP-Missed Miscarriage at 8 weeks <3 Kyle Andrew <3
    *Chromosomes and Karotyping tests were both normal.We lost a healthy baby boy :(
    *FET #3 (04/2014) was cancelled after finding Chronic Endometritis
    *Miraculous BFP July 2014!! (I was taking baby aspirin and Cabergoline to stay regulated while "taking a break from TTC" and waiting to consult with a reproductive immunologist!!!) 

    Our healthy baby girl was born 03/10/15 thanks to daily Lovenox injections and baby aspirin. There are no words for how grateful I am for our rainbow baby. <3

    Put the sticks down! I'm sure it is nothing. Not all pee sticks are created equal.
