Cloth Diapering

How to determine used condition

Jumping right in here.  How do you all determine used condition when selling diapers?  I have 2 FB OS elites that I can't get to fit my chunky baby or my skinny toddler well.  What would you all say these would be?  Used around 9 months in a large rotation.  No piling on PUL, good elastics, normal piling on fleece, and no stains.  We do have hard water though so they have the normal dinginess that goes along with that.

Oh and hello everyone, nice to finally come out of lurkerdom!  I cloth diaper 2 kids currently, but hoping one will potty train soon.  I have two extremes, a very very skinny toddler and a very chunky 4 month old.  Having fun so far and have learned a ton from this board.

Re: How to determine used condition

  • EUC = excellent used condition, like new used a few time but without visible wear. No staining, no holes, stretchy elastic.

GUC = used in large rotation, normal wear and tear. None to very mild visible flaws. IE minor staining or minor holes in organic fabric.

UC / Well Loved = were used as a work horse diaper or used for multiple years / multiple children. There may be staining, holes, minor issues. Should still be functional (no delaminated diapers!).

  • Thanks!  GUC they are.  Now time to actually sell them!

Agree with @Chickypoo2468‌ . I am a member of a few B/S/T FB groups and at least weekly there is an upset buying as their interpretation of a CD was different from the seller. Just describe it as you stated and avoid EUC/GUC opinions. Will save you grief in the long run
