OMG guise. How much do you love polls?

edited September 2014 in October 2013 Moms
FFFC got me wondering how many bumpies get inebriated while LO is sleeping under the same roof?

To be clear, there is no sober-ish adult in sight.

  • I still BF, and my kid wakes up to eat in the middle of the night still, so no getting drunk for me. Plus, I never really got drunk all that often after a certain point in my life. Some time around 29 I calmed down a little.

  • I posted a dance party, because I thought it was funny since I had a couple tonight.  In reality, DH and I haven't been trashed together since before I got pregnant.  I do kinda miss it once in awhile, though.

  • I could use a drink, but my answer is one parent always sober. Doesn't mean DH can't have a beer or two if I'm drunky, but a beer or two does not make him tipsy.

  • I posted this in fffc before I saw this poll. My threshold is someone should always be sober enough to take care of the baby if she wakes up, even if we couldn't drive. One of us needs to be able to carry her around, change a diaper, clean up puke, take her temperature, etc, if necessary. Legally, my blood alcohol is probably too high to drive after two or three drinks. I could have a couple more than that and still take care of dd.

  • I voted Chole. Neither of us drink.

  • My husband is allergic to alcohol, and I breastfeed around the clock, so we might as well be Mormon-- never drunk with the kids.

  • I voted the first option but in reality it's somewhere between the first and second.

And sometimes I do drink enough to where I wouldn't feel comfortable driving DS somewhere but GASP, there are people in this world who don't even own cars!

  • We'll each have a drink two or three times a week.
Anything more is left for when the baby is not around.
