Question: what would you tell your 3 1/2 year old son when he asks where his dog is when she disappeared last night?
Story: we live in the middle of the country on 10 acres. We have 6 dogs, 3 inside and 3 outside in kennels. Last night before bed I let 2 of the dogs out to go potty. 1 was a 50 lb dog the other was 6 lbs. My husband was on the phone and going to let them in when he got down taking and came to bed. He comes up and wakes me an hour later wanting to know how many of the dogs were outside. I tell him 2 and he says only one (the big dog) is by the door. We went outside and for 90 minutes (until midnight) we walked and whistled and yelled her name and my husband drove around the section calling for her. We left her puppy bed outside in case she found her way back during the night but it's now been almost 10 hours that she had been missing. We have had her since she was 12 weeks and she is now over 5 years old. My husband also saw a coyote next to our property line lady night while driving around. There is still a chance she is lost in the bean fields around us waiting until it's light but there is also a chance we won't ever know what happened.
Edit: typo
