Cloth Diapering

It's the weekend!

Tonight I'm home with DD while DH goes out with a friend (so I'm lonely lol) but it's otherwise a pretty busy weekend.

This morning we went to a local natural baby expo. I bought one new diaper but could have spent a lot more money. I saw BG Marie and dazzle in person for the first time and they are gorgeous! Dazzle looks nothing like the pictures I've seen and I really love the colour.

Tomorrow DD and I are going to a wedding shower. She has a pretty new dress for the occasion!

What are you lovely ladies up to this weekend?

Re: It's the weekend!

  • We are in Maine and it's raining and freezing. Luckily I can see the ocean and more luckily I got M a fleece jacket at a consignment sale this morning cuz she's had it on all day. But I did have half a lobster roll and clam chowder for dinner. Thanks for the idea @TJ1979‌

I'm sorry about the yucky weather but I hope you enjoy your time there! I've never been but it looks like a beautiful state.

  • I spent the day with the ILs.

    That doesn't sound good!

I'm spending the week with mine.
Oh my! Good luck to you stringy! I don't think I could handle that.

  • I've spent the entire day on the couch with dd who has been cluster nursing every hour since 10am. It's just a little frustrating. I'm sure this is a growth spurt and hopefully she'll be back to every 3 hours soon.

Yea we will see. I'm more worried about the sleeping toddler. Or the not sleeping toddler to be more accurate.
I hope she sleeps for you. Was she able to sleep places other than home when she was younger? DD doesn't care much for sleeping anywhere but her own crib, so it makes me nervous for vacations and when I have to go back to work.

  • We need all the sleepy fairy dust there is between the two of them! How's the bed going this week?
well after my 3 out of the ordinary work days wednesday-friday, there was a lot of inconsistency.  One night I wasn't home until 10PM and then had to be up at 5 the next morning.  it was tough.  So I spent a lot of time on the floor and in his bed because I was too tired to keep going from my room to his.

last night was good.  less wake ups; I think.  And he napped for two hours in there this afternoon.  And he went down for sleep tonight really easily.  fingers crossed.  naps have been very consistent with me.  mh has had zero success getting him to nap in his bed

  • I'm pretty sure the NB is sleeping better than the toddler here... At this rate the NB will be STTN before the toddler too.
  • oh yeah.  and today he actually did not cry for even a second when I laid him down at nap time. just pointed at the little animals on his sheet for five minutes and I said "okay…sleep time" and he put his head down and fell asleep.

nighttime, he gets right in there too.  it's just the wake ups….. :(

  • I need some sleep dust in this house too.

DD normally goes to bed early, around 7. She usually gets up again once or twice before midnight but she goes back to sleep. Well it is 10 here now and she's been crying and hasn't hardly slept at all. I'm not even really sure what the problem is. I'm suspecting teeth but she's also been gassy so that could be bothering her too. And she's definitely overtired by this point.

I hardly slept last night so I'm exhausted and would just love to go to sleep!

  • Woke up with a nasty cold. Sent the boys out with DH to do some fall yard work. Did some online PJ shopping for G. Had some hot chocolate and a good dose of ibuprofen. Made frozen pizza for lunch. Napped with G. Went to Wal-Mart to get some odds and ends we needed. Went to Summer Kitchen Cafe for supper. Took G for a walk, got him in the bathtub. Just got him down for the night.

You too? I was supposed to work this morning but I've been sick since Thursday. Hopefully I will feel better before Sunday's shift. Today was a plumbing disaster kind of day. First the toilet in the only bathroom decided to stop working correctly.....it wouldn't shut off so we had to turn off the water to it. Dh got that fixed again. It had the opposite problem of not turning on when flushed and dh replaced the parts but apparently the first replacement was defective. Then shortly after fixing the toilet, the kitchen sink stopped up and nothing dh could do would unstop it...so our plumber guy is coming out while I am hopefully working. I think I'd rather have the week with the ILs.

What a pain! I hope that you are feeling better soon and your plumbing problems get fixed.

Ugh I'm sorry to hear about the cold and plumbing problems. I hope you're feeling better today.
