  • RAGE!!! Hubs left me at 10 this morning with all four kids to check out the new car with his dad. I called him about noon to see when he'd be home because the kids have been fighting and Leo won't let me put him down and none of us have had lunch. I've only had coffee. He tells me he'll be home at 2:30. Well 2:30 comes and goes and he's not home. So I call. He tells me he's just now dropping his dad off that they stopped for lunch and now its gonna be another hour till he's home. So I sent him this. "I don't mean to be a bitch but it really irritates me that I tell you I need you home quickly and you tell me a certain time and that time comes and goes so I call, then you tell me it will be even longer. No text from you letting me know that your stopping for lunch. Meanwhile here at home I can't even make the kids lunch because im feeding the baby and they are now whining because they are hungry. My point is if I ask for your help and you tell me you'll be here at a certain time at least have the decentcy to drop me a text and let me know plans have changed. Fuck." He sends this "Yes babe.Sorry babe." I feel bad because I never talk to him like that but damn you know I need help. Am I overreacting? Edit: kids have now had lunch and I mobile bump so thats why I've been on here during feedings. Didnt want y'all to think I was at a computer ignoring hungry kids.
You are not overreacting at all. I would have went crazy on my H for this. This is our first baby but he pulled something sort of similar on me before baby came around and I am willing to bet it will never happen again. With 4 kids I cant even begin to imagine keeping my cool. Just the fact that you have 4 and one is a newborn should mean that you should not have to spell out that you need help.

  • Omg, I just got this in the mail. It's from my doctors office.

Wow that is so adorable! The only thing I got from my doctor was a bill. :(

  • @lappyfoinker‌ My FI pulls this shit all the time. You're not overreacting. I would have also probably jumped his ass for his reply. Sounds patronizing and like it didn't give a crap. I pictured an eye roll as he was typing.
  • FI was walking the dog with my aunt and I tonight. Starts taking about how he can't wait for next month because the dog "gets to chase birds" (AKA hunting). If he thinks for one second he's going to go on multiple hunting trips over the next few months and leave me with an infant and my full time job, he's smoking crack and someone's gonna have to bail me out of jail.

  • @lappyfoinker‌ I totally feel you. This is our first baby and SO has pulled stuff like this a few times. I know it's not like caring for 4 kids (you're a real trooper) but still... For example, our LO has had bad colic issues for over a week and it's worse at night. I don't ever wake him up to help with the baby because he has gone back to work and I let him have his sleep.
So I tell him that on weekends, I would appreciate if he helped with atleast one of the feedings so I can get atleast one or 2 nights of decent sleep. So of course he goes and books himself to help out his BIL over the next few weekends to redo a bathroom and kitchen for a customer of BIL. He will be getting a decent pay out of it but we don't really need the money as much as I need help with our newborn.
It's just frustrating because it's hard adjusting to life with a baby and more often then not, I feel like I'm doing it alone.

We ended up having a bit of an argument about it and he will only help out BIL next weekend. It just sucks that he couldn't figure it out on his own!! Like hello, he's your son too!!
Ugh!! That being said, SO is an awesome dad but that pissed me off.

  • I'm watching hoarders. This house is infested with bedbugs and general filth. Now my head itches and I want to bleach my skin. How's that for random?

  • Ok, sooooo not diggin this pp body. I've lost all the weight and I'm back down to my pre prego weight, but everything is so jiggly and soft and squishy. Also, if my hair doesn't stop falling out soon, I'm going to be bald. Bald and jiggly.

I'm taking this as an opportunity to perfect the truffle shuffle.....

LOL You're going with the glass half full (of excess skin) mentality. I like your style.

  • Sooo the only thing that's calmed DS all day today has been the song mmm mmm mmm mmm by the crash test dummies. Most depressing song to have on repeat ever. Wierdo emo baby
    Wow,this takes me back...

And makes me feel old. That song came out 21 years ago!
  • It has been 5 hours since F ate. It is 7:35. I wonder what this means for her MOTN feeding. I hope she can do another 5 hour stretch!

DD is great at long stretches during the day, at night, it's usually more like 2 hours, with 1 hour of crying between feedings.
    Good luck with F!
