Long live elastic waist ease :(

Let's just take a moment and mourn the loss of easy on/off pants. I tried unsuccessfully to pull down my jeans the other day not once, not twice, but three times before I realized I actually had to unbutton them first. I can't believe it, but I just might miss my maternity jeans. Oh, the horror!

  • Yeah I'm impressed too! I'm still in maternity jeans. I bought 1 pair of regular jeans and I look terrible in them!

  • Yeah, I bought a pair of jeans 2 sizes up from normal at a rummage for $1 figuring they'd be baggy.

Well, they are, but only underneath my very small mama pouch.

    Dammit.

I still wear them.  Only outside, like to Walmart and such.  I can at least be the best dressed at Walmart, right?

  • I definitely hear you all! My body did not quite go back to anything I had before. Being plus sized I didn't gain very much weight, so that was in my favor... If you can call an extra 70 pounds helpful. Lol.
  • This second CS killed my middle. I bought a girddley thing just so I could wear my pre-preg clothes  without bursting the snaps. I spend most of my time in maternity stuff that is just lose enough I don't want to wear it out of the house, lest it drop in the middle of the grocery store.

  • @TurtleMonsters‌ that's my problem--I can squeeze into my old jeans but they're super tight and give me a muffin top so I've been wearing maternity jeans but I constantly have to pull them up because they keep falling down.

  • I have so much junk in my trunk that my maternity jeans and shorts stay up fine. I haven't tried any of my pre-preg pants on yet but I assume they won't fit over my butt bump. I'm not even at that stage I was in the first or second tri when the maternity pants would kind of fall down but my normal, pants didn't fit. :(. On the plus side, I found out from a coworker that a lot of the children's librarians wear maternity pants because of how comfy they are, so I guess it's not the worst thing in the world.

  • I just went on looking to buy more long sleeve maternity shirts like the ones I have because with my ginormous boobs and my tummy still flabby my regular shirts are tighter than I like. But they don't have the style I like anymore. :(
  • I hate all clothes except exercise clothes ...and I don't exercise. Maybe if I did I'd like my regular clothes. Sigh....
