DH wants to go to a sushi buffet place with a coworker and his wife. This is a very reputable place - on the higher end, and the stuff is fresh. It has not been sitting out for hours. I have eaten there many times and never gotten sick.
It's $28 per person I think. They have lots of things besides sushi, like soup, noodles, cooked steak and salmon, crab legs, made to order dessert crepes, ice cream, etc.
I want to go and want to eat the sushi (because it's good, and I'm paying for it), but DH is a bit weird about wanting me to follow all the food "rules" while pregnant. Unfortunately, my doctor said sushi is on the no-no list. Would you (if you were pregnant):

Not go and maybe convince them to go to a different restaurant this time
Go but don't eat the raw sushi
Re: WWYD - sushi while prego pole
I kind of want to just go and eat a little sushi, but I don't want to get side-eyed by my H or anyone else.
Why not just go, eat whatever YOU feel comfortable eating while pg and call it day? Like another PP mentioned, I don't think you should care what someone else might think.
Our doctor said that he doesn't really care about deli meats or soft cheeses, but he would avoid sushi. I don't know. He's old.

Ha ha, regarding the backpack, DH got a free backpack from work yesterday (just a plain blue one with his work logo on it), and we gave it to DS, and DS kept saying, "I don't want it." But then my coworker bought DS some t-shirts with robots, trains, trucks, and airplanes, and DS just wants to wear those shirts all the time.
So we may end up getting a tacky backpack, even if it's NMS.
But wasabi though. Sushi is my excuse to eat wasabi until I cry.
I'll still do what I want, but I wanted to get some different opinions. Sometimes (many times) on here, it helps to get some different perspectives.

So yeah, everything turned out fine but I didn't even eat fish with my subsequent pregnancies.
