For those who had a doppler... a POLL!

Trying to decide if a doppler will help, hurt, or just not be worth it. Would love your opinions!

Having a doppler...

***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage. :'(  Stage 1 endo removed June 2013. IVF #1 Oct/Nov 2013: Long Lupron with Gonal-F. 7R, 7M, 7F. 2 txfer@3d. Nothing frozen.  => M/C @ 8 wks. :'( Selected RPL panel all normal. Very hyper and brittle response to stims. IVF #2 (antagonist protocol) Feb 2014 => Converted to IUI (Perfect conditions). BFN. IVF #2.1 w/ new RE June 2014: Antagonist protocol. 33R, 31M, 30F, 19 blasts to test!!! I made it through without crashing!! :) Hats off to Dr. Fancypants!! ET of one 5AB blast. BFN. 13 10 CCS'ed snowflakes! FET #1 PUPO as of 7/29 Betas: 8/7@24, 8/9@97, 8/11@334 (etc.) Two sacs on 8/15, one seen on 8/18 after a bleed. U/s 8/25 (6+3) "perfect": 5.9 mm + HB@120bpm! U/s 9/4 (7+6): 15.9 mm + HB@172 bpm! Please, PLEASE stick this time!!!!

Was awesome and definitely helped with anxiety.

    I used mine at least once a week with E and couldn't have lived without it. I never had days where I couldn't find her heartbeat once I figured out how to use it.
    TTC with PCOS since November 2009
    IUI#1 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP, m/c
    IUI#2 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 5-9) = BFN
    IUI#3 Femara/Ovidrel (cd 3-7) = BFP!
    beta #1 11/23 = 270, P4 = 75
    beta #2 11/28 = 2055
    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    After 16 weeks, mine was gold! I used it once a day until I could feel movement. Best purchase!

    I used mine several times a day and found it extremely reassuring. That being said, I borrowed it from a friend so didn't buy it myself.
    Married July 2011; TTC since April 2011; DX: MFI
    IVF #1 in August 2012: BFP!

    Glad you ordered it. I got mine at 10 weeks and used it almost every day until I felt consistent movement. It was so reassuring!

    I have never owned one, but I just want to share a caution with you that will hopefully keep you from losing your mind should you ever have a "WHERE IS THE HEARTBEAT?!" moment. Last night at my monthly OB appt, the midwife used 3 different dopplers and spent over 20 minutes hunting and couldn't find a thing at 14w2d. (Cue panic, and she actually got to the point where she told the front desk to start calling imaging places to get me an after hours appt to get me checked.) I peed while I was waiting for all that and another doc decided to try one more time, and emptying my bladder did the trick because we heard it right away loud and clear!! So while a full bladder can be good for an u/s, it may mess with the doppler. :) I hope it brings you lots of peace of mind! :)
