Y Gluteal Cleft

We had our 2 week pediatrician appt this afrernoon. During the exam the doctor asked if anyone at the hospital mentioned our daughters "y cleft". We'd never heard of it before. It's a y shaped divot above DDs butt. She said it can be from a tight umbilical cord and can very rarely cause bladder issues down the road. She said they like to ultrasound them just to check them and most of the time they end up being no problem. She then had another pediatrician come look for a second oppinion and they decided that yes, they want to ultrasound it and DDs lower back because they think they feel a protrusion. Anyone have any experience with this?

    LO has a butt dimple too. It's just cosmetic, no relation to Spina Bifida (sp?). It has peach fuzz on it. We call it LO's ass fro since he's a quarter black, lol
