Pre-natal Yoga

Anyone else on the boards into prenatal yoga? I've become a little obsessed with it and was just thinking how much I am going to miss it now that the baby is coming soon.

Re: Pre-natal Yoga

  • I'm hoping to take a prenatal yoga but don't wanna go alone! Who wants to move to Md and go with!?

  • Does anyone have any links to online prenatal sessions? In person classes are so $$$ around here...
  • I have a couple of prenatal yoga DVDs that I do at home. 1st tri I felt like they were a joke compared to regular yoga. Now in 3rd tri I get it, you just can't do what you used to! I love it, it's my happy time of day.
  • I just got a dvd from a friend, I have yet to make it more then 10 minutes in though. I think tonight I'm locking up my dogs and dh and doing the whole thing no matter what! I miss my regular yoga so much.
  • It's awesome! I'm obsessed too. Then there's mother and baby yoga afterwards! My hospital offers classes that are super inexpensive. :-) :-) :-)
  • Love it! I'm taking a class that's free through my insurance. I have a hard time getting motivation to do yoga by myself at home though..

  • I've just been looking up prenatal yoga videos on Youtube and trying ones that are in the 30 minute range. I've done 3 so far, 2 I liked and one not so much (mostly had to do with the instructor's voice and not so much with the yoga itself).

  • I take a class at the hospital. It's ultra gentle but she has still shown us some useful poses. I can't wait to work out hard after the baby is born.

  • I've been doing an 8 week session class once a week that started last week. So far it's a lot of sitting and breathing, but hopefully well get worked out in the following weeks.
  • I won a yoga session and the place does not offer any prenatal classes ufortunately. The lady I e-mailed recommended the gentle yoga class but I'm definitely new to it. Do y'all recommend that or should I just want until after my LO comes?
