Piggy-backing off the Baby Wearing post a little further down...

Any ladies on here have any experience/opinions on the Lille Baby carriers?   They seem very similar to the Ergo 360, but with a slightly nicer price-point.  (Will likely XP in the attachment parenting board as well).  Thanks!

  • I've tried one, but it was with a bigger child (my giant ass youngest) and I didn't like it as much. The straps weren't as cushioned, and the fabric felt cheap somehow. I'm prob just spoiled because my Ergo is so broken in. And FWIW, I've never used an Ergo360, I have two original canvases.

I have a lillebaby and like it for an older baby but not for a young baby. We used the baby Bjorn until DS got too heavy to carry in that one and then switched to the lillebaby. I liked that you could also wear baby forward facing. He's 18 months now and we still sometimes use the lillebaby. However I've never used an ergo to compare it to.

ETA: the older version of the lillebaby was a little more flimsy. The newer one seems to have just as much padding as an ergo. I have the newer version.

The problem with carriers that do forward facing, is the hip thing. They are not seated into an M position, and forward facing carriers often over-stimulate a baby.

The lillebaby seems to seat them properly facing in, but when facing out, becomes a crotch dangler.
  • Not sure about the lillebaby carrier but even the ergo 360 they recommend only using the forward facing option for a few minutes at at time. Not very optimal for baby's body position.
There are lots of great baby wearing Facebook groups out there who will be able to give you a lot more info and you might even find a great 2nd hand carrier at a great price on there too.
