My question is....how would you fit in 3 meals and 2 snacks for my daughter with her schedule and the daycare's schedule.
Daycare eats lunch at 11/11:30am. My daughter naps from 9-11 and 1-2:45/3pm. So typically what I do at home is breakfast in morning--which we are good with at daycare too. Then at home I do 1st snack at 11am when she wakes up (a small snack) then lunch around 12/12:30. However at daycare they will want to feed her lunch around the time I typically do that 1st snack. Do I have them flip flop what I do at home to fit in her 2nd snack? Have them do lunch at 11/11:30am then do a small snack before she lays down for her nap at 1pm? So small snack at 12:30? The 2nd snack is a larger snack around 3-4pm and that aligns with home and daycare. Then obviously supper at night. I just was wondering what you guys recommend to get 2 snacks and the 3 meals in. My daughter is a petite one so I am just wanting to make sure she has all opportunities to eat.
Sorry this was to be for the 12-24 mo. board but obviously it didn't get there....will take your advice too!
Re: Fitting in Meals & Snacks
My guess is she will switch to one nap soon and it won't be an issue.
Maybe I just need to chill out about it but I was just trying to fit in what her doctor said to do--3 meals, 2 snacks a day. I didn't mean that the daycare can't have her own schedule and I completely understand feeding everyone at once I just didn't know if I needed to squeeze in another snack somewhere in there to make sure my daughter gets enough. Doctor isn't raised a red flag but just said well if she doesn't gain maybe we need to do some tests to make sure something else isn't going on. So that's why I just wanted to make sure she got as many opportunities to eat as possible. Thanks for the input ladies. I appreciate the perspectives!
