Workouts! Week of 9/8

Hey y'all! How's everyone doing? I fell off the wagon for a bit. I was busy and then dealing with foot pain. Today I had my first workout since 8/27 and it sucked. That week and a half break really showed, but I finished. On the bright side, my foot held up really well so hopefully I'll be cleared for running by the end of the week.

  • I think a lot of us have slacked off a bit based on the decreased participation in the threads the last couple weeks. I wish I had something uber motivational to share to boost everyone's drive.

  • My eating was terrible all last week. I pretty much ate any and every fast food, cookie, chocolate bar, and chip that crossed my path. This week I'm swearing off sweets and junk completely.

  • Just got back from the gym. God I needed that! I got my period yesterday and I have felt so bloated and just puffy the past couple of days. I feel like I just sweated it all out of my system. So much better!

    Made it through 20 minutes of a 40 minute Fitsugar video. Better than nothing I guess. I'll try to make myself do another workout tonight.

  • Just got back from the gym. My grip strength in my left hand is shot to hell. I think it's just fatigued from dead lifting yesterday, but today I could even hold the dumbbell. Hopefully when I rest it this weekend it will be back to normal next week. Other than that I had a good workout this morning. I learned that telling me to do an exercise "to failure" is stupid, because my brain interprets that to "when you feel like stopping, maybe now?" I think my trainer realized that and kept giving me higher reps to hit, and I did so much more than I anticipated.

  • I did a 30 minute bodyweight cardio video. I feel like I'm starting to get nack in my groove now.
